Controls are consistent, it's just that the character has either a very short jump or a very long and floaty one. Be mindful of how long you hold the jump key. You mostly want full hops in this game.
For "Androids" the blues must come BEFORE the reds. For "Officers", you can shrink the binary string. Only the VALUE must increase by 1. But you can't leave yellow or green in your string.
@KadenV8 The instructions are pretty clear. You must look for 2 blues followed by nothing. You can do this using 3 branches (blue/blue/empty). If you hit extra blues you can loop to the last branch, since it's OK to have more. If you hit a red you must loop to the first branch.
Probably the hardest puzzle game I've ever played; it makes me feel stupid. 4/5 mostly because the tutorial was a little lacking (example: I thought you HAD to enter branches from the back side, but any side will work), and the presentation/music/UI could've been better. Also, the screen randomly flashes sometimes, which is probably bad for epileptics (Chrome).
Protip: Are you at half health, empty stomach? Well still don't eat that meat. If you don't expect much action you'll heal extra over time once you eat. Also don't eat if you're just about to level up, since that will refill your HP anyway.
Why can't I drag items to certain slots? What do circles around enemies mean? Where exactly is my level or XP displayed? Why can bats and rats move and attack in the same turn? What is mana used for? How do I charge my charm? Does "Shields Up" use my weapon damage? This game NEEDS a tutorial. Also, I walked into a lake and what was on the other side? 3 storm mages. Dead. Game difficulty is extremely random. Eh, 3/5.
Ah, clearly this is not everyone's cup of tea. I too, am not particularly fond of all this RPG maker spam and story driven stuff. I prefer slashing, shooting, and blowing stuff up. However, detective games do involve decision making and exploration, which counts a hella lot more than those stupid idle games. From puzzles to tactics, action packed to relaxed, there are games for everyone. I didn't get stuck or frustrated on an insane leap of logic so I'll rate this a 4 or 5. Also, "Hold Pagedown to fast forward text."
