Even if you argue that penguins aren't incredibly smart, they shouldn't be onmiscient. If they can't walk through walls, don't let them see through them. Make sure there is a line of sight, and if nothing is visible then random-walk until there is.
It's not THAT bad... I have no problems with controls, and generally running over things is considered bad in these sorts of games. Maybe their guns get caught in the treads or something if you need a reason.
Anyway, a fairly standard game. Nothing I can say is bad, but nothing that truly stands out. 3/5
Brilliant game concept, and I'll add to the voices supporting unity. I'd just say that some of the controls can be a little iffy. e.g. arrow controls are impossible because for dashing, only the left shift key works. I also think that click for jump may be more natural and easier to control given that really one hand is always on the mouse, but these are just niggles. I like complaining, and that's really all I can find. Brilliant.
seems very easy to break... and I'm still not sure what was what before I broke it. Could really use some mouseovers/tooltips so I have some idea what to expect. Seems like a great concept and seems largely well implemented, but I suspect acouple of small flaws are letting it down.
Not sure about some of the basic digestive stuff... digestion is performed by enzymes (which need an acidic environment) not the acid, and peptic ulcers have been proven to be caused by a strain of bacterium.
Some really bad implementation of a good concept here. Most of the puzzles are good in theory, but it has really frustrating click areas until you know *exactly* where to click. And I can't say I feel the need to play yet again because I was killed by something that looked fine, and couldn't predict. Being able to see why I was wrong afterwards isn't much fun when you start from the beginning each time.
1. A moving object will continue moving with the same speed/direction unless another force acts upon it. Newton's first law.
2. The fact the balls rotate shows there is friction.
3. Yes, this game really does need friction for the rest of movement, too.
Bad responsiveness is fine as long as it is a working part of the game concept. However, when you zoom in the bad responsiveness mixed with not being abe to see what is coming is what always kills you: that is just unfair and breaks the game.
Flamethrower should have a cooldown after it has been used to fire X shots or something. Pierce should only allow for 5 enemies or something too, because that can be just as effective with the desert eagle and full reload upgrades.
Enemy AI could be impoved slightly as enemies won't attack with NoBlock creatures which have no other purpose, which can completely turn the game in your favour but otherwise I have only praises.
Beyond the tutuorials? I have two bosses and minibosses, flack cannons, homing missiles, graphics for different powerups and different kinds of powerups. Most of what I added was new at the time anyway; it was just covered in later tutorials. What part of the tutporial covers two health bars? It's expired now anyway.
I'm slightly annoyed... I added my own enhancements while I was doing it. All the way through these I've been findign what I've done is covered in later tutorials, but I still have some features this doesn't.
