practically identical to Heavy Arms, but with worse gameplay. the screen is literally filled with enemies, which if you hit, you lose a large chunk of health, pretty ridiculous if you ask me. also it seems like your lasers trail just in front of the enemy, using the 'A' and 'D' buttons to turn so your shot is actually able to hit is just plain annoying. the only other way to hit the cubes is to get in front of where the cube is headed. there is also the annoying dialogue, i don't think anyone needs to have "Armament is Overheating! Cease Fire!" pop up every other second. this, and the shop prices seem to be glitched? a stat upgrade costing $3000 took $20k off my money - just plain bad 2.5/5
it was rather inconvenient having your units go all over the place, and not obey commands - but aside from that, this is the best RTS on kong. my only complaints: that rushing is nearly impossible on the later levels, and unit counters. Impact Blasters seemed like a counter for the Orbital Destroyer, which i never saw an enemy make, and Artillery seemed like a viable counter for every single ship (most of them seemed to be speedy high-damaged ships). the ship i was most interested in was the Stealth Fighter, after seeing the enemy being able to attack, then fade away before i was able to attack them. i couldn't do the same with my own Stealth Fighters however. once i was able to unlock the Orbital Destroyer, the game simply became a wait to "Research Tech 5 - Build ODs". having a single unit being able to destroy whatever it faced really took away all the challenge in the game. a single OD was sufficient to take out the enemy expansion and main base on the last mission - 4.5/5
very boring - i hate the fact there are no weapon choices, and only 3 things to upgrade. i didn't even see a big difference in speed, and damage seemed like the only stat you could upgrade if you wanted to survive. also with a level cap at 20 you can only gain so many points from exp, then you have to stand on the flag for ages while desperately trying to hold enemies off. healing takes far too long, while your just standing there recovering tiny bits of health 3 or 4 waves come after you. it's just plain terrible - 1/5
rather boring and repetitive, i found myself simply button-mashing through the whole game. the bosses were nothing special, though some were rather annoying to deal with, like the 2nd boss, who could instantly hit you for tons of health over and over, and you couldn't do anything about it. seems the only way to beat some of the bosses is to die, respawn, go through ALL those mobs over and over, until you get the right skills or gain enough health. the 2nd character didn't unlock for me when i finished the game either 2/5
decent game, but some things really killed it for me, such as the 1-Squad 1-Cover. the fact that different squads could work together while IN cover was what made the Warfare 1917 fun. now it's just different squads spread thin over a huge map, or bunching together and getting wiped out by a single Bazooka round or Air Strike. also....flanking, i'd much rather just win when i worked really hard to get to the other side, instead of just making the enemy "lose moral" which is worthless, seeing as they can regain it by killing 2 or 3 squads. Grenades costing 50 points is also ridiculous, as is having your 3 Squads and 2 Anti-Tank infantry wiped out by a single tank, which is apparently immune to your grenades, and can kill your Anti-Tanks before they even get off a shot while behind cover. 2000 points wasted on taking down a single unit, terrific. 2/5
excellent game, the best shooter i've come across in quite a while for sure. during the first few levels i found it to be great fun swapping all those elevators around, and barely getting through each level with all those monsters and not much $$, it all added to the feel of the game. later on it gets far less challenging as you aquire all 7 elevators and slowly get the money you need to equip them all with lasers. on the last few levels, i expected quite a challenge, but i didn't even have to shoot. all i needed to do was sit there and watch those hallways fill up with rounds of lasers and $100 & $250 signs - 4/5 :D
the cartoon graphics and the simple controls were the things that made EW3 great, i know your trying to change things up (the gun-swapping is great, as is being able to select certain allies instead of them all going to a single spot), but some things should've stayed the same. the maps feel too small, making you seem giant & out of place, not to mention the numerous glitches such as not being able to finish a level due to no exit, allies randomly going places ectr. it just lacks the Endless War feeling that i've come to love 3/4
starting out, it's a rather fun game and a bit challenging but as you get deeper into the map it's ridiculously easy to kill things with upgraded skills. the only thing that made it the least bit interesting was the boss fights, which you had to fight through the same enemies (ranged & random melee) to get to. in my own opinion i feel that the "Guards" from the boss fights could've became normal enemies, to make it more interesting, instead of having to fight the same creatures over and over, throughout the entire game 3/5
hehe, playing this with a thunderstorm outside really sets the mood - i liked the story, haven't seen the movie or book though. the minigames were somewhat fun, not very challenging though. the ending felt rather....rushed, could've been longer but all in all i say well done! 4/5
a blend of colourful pixels flying across the screen, along with the odd music sets a strange but calming mood. i didn't find the game very challenging but it was unique (the health bar & gameplay), and fun 5/5
a nice, easy, and entertaining game, after you get loads of cash from Time Attack the game gets easy, but it's still fun ripping up the little critters with your lawnmower :P 4/5
during the first two sections, i found this game to be rather hard and frustrating, but a friend convinced me to keep on playing and said that it would get better later on - he was right :) i loved the stat-enhancing cells and all the little descriptions for the upgrade made me laugh, all in all this a great game that starts slow and ends up being fantastic 5/5
finally got this game 100% beat!! the "F" explosion and the inf grenades are blast to use :D the later levels in the game were quite challenging, and it was frustrating that some needed exact amount of power to complete, but overall its an excellent game, well done! 5/5
it was rather interesting to see how a dragon grows, the first part where you had to eat all those colourful bugs felt dream-like, finding all the different dragon breaths was a challenge for me, but i think it was worth it after finding all the Behaviours/Titles - this has the same message as The Majesty of Colours i think, that your actions can influence many things 5/5
this game is simple, addictive, and fun, i blasted through 20 levels and slowly saw the changes the game went through, its graphics, mute button, everything - it just goes to show how much work goes into making a game, and that it isn't about the graphics or how complex the game is - its about how fun it is 5/5
watching the flesh fly off their faces in a red cloud, organs exploding, decapitations, shooting little critters with a stylish mustache on - perfect 5/5
a cute story and relaxing gameplay - jazz music as well :O all the little things the robot has to do are pretty interesting - along with the problems it has to face as well, i personally don't think it was meant to be very hard, just fun 5/5
i love this game - simple as that, the idea is brilliant and it is incredibly fun to play, the thing i enjoy the most is setting off the alarm and killing the target amidst the chaos. speed and invisibility saved me many times - epic game 5/5
