Fun and fantastic little game. 4/5. Only suggestion is to "end" the game better. Rather than let players fighting indefinitely, it might be better to have a final boss, or have the game end after a certain amount of time has passed and players are scored on how much damage they took throughout the course of the flight. As it is, the current "Okay, you're more or less maxed out, but you can keep getting these small 5% damage boosts." is a bit... underwhelming.
3/5 Fun concept but it feels like a frankenstein game with a bunch of ideas stitched together. Biggest one is how the match 3 component gets ignored completely from halfway one. Some problems with the implementation. Biggest one is that instead of an annoying menu book, there should be an icon above each ingredient for instant ordering. Hiding the "order X" button behind two clicks adds nothing to game play and only serves to frustrate and delay the player. Likewise, the recipe book. I play this game to make sushi, not spend a quarter of my time flicking through a book. Put more Sushi options on a single page. Also, starting with 0 ingredients is annoying as hell since in the later levels, your first actions are always going to be just ordering a bunch of things. Possibly also consider an infinite mode.
Good start. All it needs is a skip option for the customer ordering/cheering animations (which take way too long) or the option to hire a cashier to take orders and collect money, and 3 patty stacks to put patties that were grilled to different levels. To make this game even better, have more varied upgrades such as condiment/ingredient enhancers, maybe better trays or something. Also, having drinks and sides could adda slightly new dimension to the game... and have tips based both on performance and what was actually ordered (which is incentive to unlock higher quality foods). Also, a dump option for ruined burgers would also be nice.
Never mind. Found the skeleton key from an old save. Bug of not being allowed back down after clearing the crypt, but not yet killing the lesser vampire needs to be fixed.
BUG: After killing all the skeletons in the Crypt, the priest doesn't allow you to go back down there and I need to to search for the key and to open the coffin.
Need a speed-up button and the building costs lowered. I'm sitting on the WTF mission on auto in a background window while I do other stuff because I need to grind materials and gold and I'm not actively managing anything. Level ups are slow and most of the equipment I find is not equippable and most abilities can't even be leveled up once. Overall, for a grindy game, the payoffs aren't that high.
.
Also, melee seems very lackluster as a thing. What's really the point when 90%+ of any level you clear will be cleared by mowing down enemies with bows and arrows? Stick, Dagger, Sword, Axe, Mace, who the hell actually cares?
The grind:payoff ratio is too poor. First 2 games were interesting, but then I was like "this is it?" and I lost interest. There's 4 scrolls, a choice of two different attacks and some minor enhancements to your actions... I can't tell if there's anything else and it looks like there isn't. I also get the whole "need to reset equip each dungeon" thing, but man, with a lack of bells and whistles, that is just depressing.
Thanks!
