Meh, it's either boringly easy, or you get surrounded and it's OMGWTF! hard because you've got no range and the enemies take so long to kill. And you can't jump, but you can duck, which seems to have no effect.
The second boss is so hard because you've got a split-second to react if a lava drop spawns above you. I can get him down to maybe half health before it happens to me.
Dice rolls should show for either all or no attacks; they don't currently for the ones you initiate and win, but do for all computer attacks and the ones you lose. Also, the lack of ability to move however many armies immediately after a successful attack is pretty crippling.
Turning the sound off doesn't work, and the screen needs to clear after you die so you can restart without dieing immediately after hitting retry. Also, having the ghosts not constantly firing would make the game less impossible.
It's very buggy. What's the purpose of releasing an unfinished product?
I jumped off the edge of level 1 and nothing happened. No game-over, no reset option.
Having the later letters fall faster makes things rough if you have to click the letters in proper order. Also, it seems to only recognize one word, even if the random extra letters can form another legitimate word. That's a major flaw.
There's so much wrong with this game, I don't know where to start. The damage is based more on luck than strategy, which makes the War Academy missions pointless, and that forests limit non-elf movement so much makes a number of missions tedious.
Also, Phantom Dark is a moron. Yeah, totally not a porn site. Right.
Interesting concept, but I've seen it done better. Also, some of the larger levels need indications of which way you're supposed to go, so it's not a fricking frustrating maze that you can't even keep track of because you have to keep rotating it.
So, if the enemy falls off the bottom of the screen, it respawns at the top, but if you fall off, you die? It's all the worse for lack of a jump move, so you get stuck very easily.
Good game, but maybe the bosses shouldn't have so much HP and attack strength if they also have longer range and the ability to dodge. Also, if enemies have the ability to launch multiple projectiles, you need to either make the slide long enough to dodge all three, or time the enemy attacks so it's possible to dodge all of them, not dodge two and get nailed by the third.
Geez, just tried the third boss again, and she's insane. You need to put some kind of delay between her unblockable combo attacks, because at level 10 she can wipe out about half my life while I do nothing but watch in dismay.
Level 25 can be done easily, but then it becomes tedious instead of nerve-racking, which isn't much of an improvement. Really, 99 hits of 4-way pong? Some of the other puzzles were kind of clever, though.
