I do honestly appreciate that the death taunts are relevant to the manner in which you died. I laughed the first time I was mocked for focusing directly into a missile. Also, bejeezuz, this superfast missiles. I got to 2,22 in Original and I've already got 3 times as many deaths as I did in normal.
Holding "Q" isn't quitting the level for me in Time Trial Mode. Also, it would be nice to cut out the poem lines in time trial. We've already beaten the story, so it's an inconvenient slow down when we're trying to kill the monsters as fast as possible.
With as many hits as the zombies take, it would be a little more fun to be able to hold down the attack button rather than having to mash it constantly.
Is there a way to dismiss any of your troops? Because I'm in the second league after losing only my final match (against the dude with no wins to that point, no less), and I'm swimming in money that I'd love to spend on a second unique character, but I've filled my four slots and hiring the unique I found just threw the money away.
Normally I don't mind bugs too much, but when I see a tarantula onscreen, it awakens a primal fear in my and I must destroy it immediately. KILL IT! KILL IT NOW!
A decent game, but it doesn't feel like it does anything new. The story is too impersonal to relate to, and I kind of guessed how the ending with the doctor and the family would turn out. The war ending was unexpected only because there were only implications of the serum as a super weapon, not what actually occurred.
Having to replay the early portion to get the power ups after each ending was boring, although fortunately not hard or too long.
StickFigures, click the menu button when you're in a level to see the challenges. As for a minimap, well that would defeat the point of the hidden treasures.
Played for like an hour months ago and got all the achievements except dream guy. Today, I see the game has badges on the front page, start a game, get called away from the computer mid-game, come back, find I now have all 7 achievements. Perfect.
Enjoying the game, but the Drain Life spell is over-powered compared to Fireball and Heal, as it has practically the same effect as both simultaneously for the same cost as Fireball (and only 5 more mana than Heal).
It would be nice if the power-up orbs stayed on the ground for more than one second before disappearing. Too often I had to knock out another enemy to get to it, but by then the orb was gone. Of course, for what little damage the special attack did to the boss, I'm thinking it doesn't really matter.
Also, the invulnerability window after getting hit is too small; at one point I tried to make my way around a pair of enemies to avoid being surrounded, and wound up being severely wounded because the invincibility didn't last longer than the time it took the enemies to get into position to attack again.
This game could use a bit of balancing for the difficulty. I didn't miss a difficulty option somewhere, did I? After I saved up enough for the courage armor and got to level 9, I was pretty much invincible, except the final couple bosses actually managed to scratch me a little. Also, the player's attack speed is like 10 times that of the enemies. Well, at least that meant the game went quick.
Fun, but I made it through the first 30 levels or so before I actually knew what I was doing. More explicit instructions on how the game works would have been nice, because "You can click these because the colors match" didn't completely explain it.
