Okay, fun, fun, fun.... Level three? Okay. Um. Good, first chord, second chord, third chord... Uh... Hmm... Hey, I thought I got that one...! Heyyyy. Hey, this was right, there are no other options! What the hell? Why isn't it taking? You know what? Fukk this noise! I'm outta here.
One last note: For good balance between people who don't mind paying, and those who won't on principle, I propose using a common system that is extremely beneficial when implemented with balance: Having a player to player gem/gold exchange market. That way non-paying players don't feel slighted, and more paying players will buy more gems in order to sell them to others. Obviously this only works if there are things that are worth it to buy with gold, but if there aren't then you're doing something wrong. Anyway, you'll be catering to the fun factor in both playerbases, and gathering more microtransactions. Every game I've seen do this enjoyed the benefits quite snugly, and was very fun to play from both ends.
Oh, and, um... The graphics are very well done, but the music is a bit grating. I recommend redoing the scores, lengthening the loops, or altering the music so there are not as many long strings of repeating melody notes. Basically, the music is kind of insistent. Repetition is the enemy here.
We couldn't agree more. The music does start to wear pretty quick. If you know anybody that would be interesting in redoing it, by all means let us know.
Hey, game pretty cool, especially for one still in development, so good work, I say! SUGGESTIONS: The comments you've addressed seem like a good start. I'd like not to be alone in battle. This reminds me of Dragon Quest, and as such I remember how fun having monsters was... Simple pet AI co-ops would be nice. Something not too crazy, just a battle buddy to help pick off those low-hp guys.

Holy ****, this came out on my birthday! Hot damn, I feel privileged. This was amazing. For some reason the tacky 3D and super dark rooms, in any other game, would completely ruin it for me, but this just fell into place like a magnificent puzzle. That's the feeling I got from the entire game. I loved being able to explore the minds of the characters, and being able to understand the plot slowly through the game, without feeling like I'm being railroaded or being handed the answers. I feel better about my life just knowing this game exists. Thank you for your amazing and hard work, and for inspiring me!! I can't speak more highly of this game... 5+♥.
I fall into the group that feels indifferent about the gameplay, but it was very creative, so I had to favorite it, even with a kinda low score. I felt that even though the point is to have a silly story, the least you could do was proof-read it before hitting submit.
I'm not sure how it happened exactly, but I held down the mouse button on the first stage after the tutorial, and I was utterly bombarded by points. I leveled to 30 in one go. I was level 0.
Hmmmm, interesting. I'll take this to my partner and see if we can come up with a way to implement something similar.
