Very amusing writing, and the setting surprised me, what with the aliens and the power of imaaaaagination *makes rainbow with hands*
Gameplay's a little weak though. Very generic for the most part, and I have no idea how these reaction commands work. The animations go a bit too fast for my liking as well. Very interesting game, regardless, and I'm sure it'll get better as it goes on.
This feels VERY similar to Geometry Wars, which definitely isn't a bad thing. However, the player is too small and the visual effects are too "solid", making it very easy to lose track of yourself.
Surprisingly fun for such a repetitive game, but a couple things really irked me.
1. "You unlocked a new rage power!" Okay, how do I use it?
2. Level-based doors with impossible levels if you've played straight through. It's annoying to have to start the level over again just to grind those few extra points.
3. The weapons really need some variety. I was happy about the scythe, but after that it's just big sword big sword big sword
The interface is cluttered yet still somewhat insufficient. I want some more control over my soldiers (JUST GET IN THE DAMN BUNKER AND STOP LYING ON THE GROUND GETTING SHOT AT!), and buyables should be organized in tabs of some sort. My troops continually let (presumably) near-death soldiers walk through my lines.
Overall: Fix the interface and give the player additional control.
LOL! When I played the last surgery again, the last part wouldn't end and the saw went all the way through the arm and off the screen.
It's not BAD, but it's easy (the only difficulty comes from not knowing to sedate), glitchy, and short. Dark cut 2 was better.
Lol, the game glitched and allowed me to play Treatment 2 when I tried playing surgery 1.
The game as a whole was pretty darn easy.
I wish there was more on what's going on in the ending and the whole situation though. How did the guy get there? Why did the computer want to do all that, since it didn't have such emotions at the beginning. Why did the guy want to escape so badly after just a few surgeries? That last point could be fixed with just brief scene showing that he's been there for years, suffering.
