You know, I thought I'd metagame this. I read the comments before I started and with my superb English ability, discovered that the Knight was definitely the worst character. So I decided ah, so if I keep him at the highest level, that will clearly balance it out. So I will give early guards to the mage and give the knight most of the exp. This doesn't work. Despite being consistently the one gaining the highest exp and always the highest level, my knight is still terrible. Come on whoever playtested the game, why is there a glaring play error.
Things with Shock are the best units in the game with 10 damage and fast rate of fire...that makes Thunder Dragon really, really good because it combines Shock and Fly into one imbalanced package that will just roll everything. Great game, but remember that with so many characters, a lot of them are bound to be unusable.
I miss the old days, when I could keep restarting a level to test the minimum number of defenders I can use without losing likes. Now I go END GAME and it tells me "Fail!" and I think ohhhh right. The quests are random in this game. Sad times. Still 5/5.
If anyone is having any difficulty, practice the tail whip. Break the water slightly and then submerge before your center of mass leaves the water so that your tail waves up while your head goes down. You can repeat this circular motion to basically destroy infinity ships.
Splitting the screen is, in this game, a clear example of fake difficulty. What would have been quite a good platformer-esque game is made clearly more difficult but no more enjoyable by the second screen.
This is the first Zombie game I have ever played where getting headshots (instant kill, 1000 points) is inferior to normal shots (knocking them into other things, 2000 points).
Because Magic is silly in this game, you should simply use it as another heal. The Healing spells can be used outside of battle, so if you ever have the mana, just convert it into health once you have the spells. Good game overall. I liked it.
I hear you have a mission for me. "Yes. This man, green suit. Surrounds himself with short sighted blue suited guards armed with guns."
Good. Building layout? "Here you go."
Why are there no entrances or exits? "Security."
I see. How should I enter? "Don't worry we'll teleport you in here."
Impressive, but why not closer? "Don't feel like it."
Uh, I see. Okay so I'll start by killing this one and- "No, no killing guards."
What? Okay...whatever. I guess I'll just grab my silencer and- "No no! No guns! Here's a knife."
...What? "It's a special knife, trust me."
I...okay. Where's my extraction point? "We'll tell you after you take out the target."
I...don't want this job.
SimpleHarmonic's method of gghsggggshgg gave me 57 on the last stage. What a great method. Like holy crap. Also, no map has Bog if you just stun them so while I didn't test it (Went through the game using Mammoths like the tutorial told me to), this method probably works for everything.
An absolute perfect sphere in a vacuum with only gravity to act on it in CLASSICAL (Newtonian) mechanics does technically roll forever, even if there is a technical coefficient of friction, as long as the sphere does not deform (definition of perfect sphere). This game actually have friction, as indicated by the non-movement of the squares when hit by a circle on a flat surface.
Most bosses, most notably Baal, the Big Bang and the Epic Yeti, become trivial with Invulnerability. Enemies like the Gold Angel and Black Fire Lord need you to add +Critical or +Attack as needed. Black Goblins die instantly to Meteor. Those three spells, combined with a melee set (Weretiger, Untamed Beast, Mad Bull, Valkyrie, Mighty Guardian, Phantom Ghost) and ranged set (Succubus, Epic Tank, Sylph, Orang Utan, Elf Sniper, Forest Hunter) are really all you need in the game.
Having the right set of units (Meteor, Mad Bull, Valkyrie, Weretiger, Phantom Ghost, Succubus, I favor Pixie in the last position, but another power unit will do) makes getting several hundred thousand gold from Epic XIII every time really easy. It's the best place to get gold, not that you're really missing gold in this game. This game would benefit from being...I dunno. Harder in some way.
