Engine off should be a toggle, not a 'hold down to keep engine off'. It's really annoying having to hold down the engine off button as you fall tens of thousands of feet trying to land.
Great game... but I feel like I'm falling behind and missing things every time I fail to clear a path, leaving me weaker and less able to clear future paths. Not sure if there's any way around that.
So... two strategies; either you can go for all the health stuff and slowly but surely eat each individual person one at a time... OR you can go for all the speed and +rampage stuff, and kill EVERYONE in one fast combo of doom. One is definitely more fun then the other.
Felt very slow and easy, got bored during day 4. Upgrades to reload time felt meaningless, since you could just keep switching weapons. Even when they started to shoot back, it wasn't much trouble at all to avoid/destroy the attacks. Game should start at a harder difficulty. Also, probably have longer reload timers, preferably showing on the HUD somewhere, so you know how long until your weapons will be ready again. That way, accuracy would matter more, since missing/overkill would set you back instead of being irrelevant.
Had a bit of trouble with the championship... until everyone else somehow died, letting me advance alone without taking a rocket to the back. Last man standing wins the race, I guess?
In one of the levels, it's possible to enter a locked room by getting up on the wall and jumping over the door. This traps you in the room, preventing further progress. Given that posts here complain that the ending is bugged, I don't think I'll bother waiting 40 mins for the castle to reset. If the bugs get fixed, and the game badged, I might come back later.
@Irrimn: I haven't quite managed to hit 94 using your strategy (best of 92); there's obviously a luck factor involved. That said, having tested out the combinations more extensively, I've determined that the Soul Seeker's Knockback isn't worth the DPS loss compared to another Shadow Dragon, and the fact is that while a Devourer is somewhat more valuable then a third Shadow Dragon, a Sword Spirit up front there meleeing it with Romeo is even better. I withdraw the field, mastered.
Level 71 Endless! Shame there's nothing to do with all that money. My strategy: Romeo (Romeo-S, of course) needs to have the 'hp from damage' perk, the others aren't enough to keep him alive. If he doesn't have it, restart. The other three monsters should all be ranged attackers; the more range the better, since you want them on the back row not getting killed, and sometimes Romeo can get knocked back quite a ways. There aren't that many monsters with high range, so you essentially need the Shadow Dragon, the Soul Seeker, and the Devourer (in that order), with Romeo in front of them all. The Dark Dragon, the next runner-up in range, is too fragile; despite his power, he'll die to penetrating attacks halfway through, decreasing your overall firepower; in contrast, the Devourer is not only longer range, but can also recover from the occasional long-range hit. Pretty sure you can't do better then this; if you do better with another strategy, please let me know!
Stacking +Interaction items probably needs a nerf; With 13 Intelligence, the Laptop, and the Hazmat Suit, Interaction time becomes zero, which gives you huge piles of money immediately. Not only does this let you buy all the items, but the people looting with that level of Intelligence gain levels very quickly. It's not quite zero, but it's close enough as to make the rest of the game trivial, once you get there... leaving you with nothing to do but wait for the guys to figure out they need gas.
Okay game, but the 'complete all three tasks to unlock new ones' thing is kind of annoying. It'd be better if it used a task system like Chuck the Sheep, where every time you complete a task, it gives xp towards upgrades and opens up a new task slot.
Intriguingly, playing with a word list is actually sub-optimal. If you're just typing words off a list, you wind up missing the bonus letters, since you're too busy reading the next word on the list to notice.
After all this time?" "5/5. Always.
