Tip for earning money: the closer you are to a ship when you destroy it, the more money its coin is worth. Therefore, if you add and fully upgrade a couple of vertical and horizontal movement devices to your ship, you can fly right up to the enemies and kill them at close range, enabling you to get coins that are worth more without missing any enemies.
For all those complaining about originality, etc : the "bullet hell" genre is a recognized sub-type of the "shoot em' up" game type, which is itself a particular branch within shooter games generally. As it is with most games, it should be fairly obvious that the game is inspired by other works within the genre, but in this case the game's name blatantly addresses the fact. Why must we have complaints every time someone makes a game within a specific genre?

I think the image of the square represents the main character's rigid feelings towards others, and his journey to break out of his prison symbolizes his inner journey to break through his emotional barriers in order to accept the love of others, represented by the family he so desperately wants to find. Or I could just be messing with you.
I think the difficulty varies a lot among the later levels. I thought 28 was pretty hard, for instance, but I finished 29 in under a minute. Maybe the levels could do with some rearranging to make it more scaled?
Fun little game, but it seems to me that there's too much luck involved. Still, I think trying to make it more complex would probably ruin what the game is.
I really like top-down shooters, but I also hate using the mouse when playing them. If I could use the arrow or AWSD keys instead, this game would probably be one of my favorites.
