This whole game I was like, "Wtf, the parallelism doesn't make any sense, the developer is an idiot that thinks he's witty, etc, etc." Then I got to the end, and I was like, "Oooooh, that's neat."
Does anyone else's ship seem stick in place sometimes, especially after you've held a key to go left or right for a couple seconds? + if it has so the developer can see.
Part of the ingenuity involved with creating a game like this is being able to convey a beautiful message in a manner that most ppl will at least be able to get a sense of. Despite being the type of player that loves these games, I was unable to discern the meaning in this endeavor, so I have to say that it is little more than a jumble of words and pictures.
Having an infinite move option once all the enemies on the floor are dead would be nice; makes getting back to the exit you already found less annoying.
This game seems to be very cleanly done. I would assume that (like in the popular Mardek series) you are using this 1st chapter primarily to get the kinks in the programming and gameplay worked out. I expect more depth and difficulty in the future, but this is a good start.
Excerpt from wikipedia to all those that were wondering: "The pygidium is the posterior body part or shield of crustaceans and some other arthropods, such as insects and the extinct trilobites. It contains the anus and, in females, the ovipositor."
Few things I found helpful: 1) You can find Legendary Weapons in chests at any area or dungeon. 2) BUY THE HEALTH POTION UPGRADES 3) Starting class doesn't matter much because you will be able to buy as many intelligence/strength potions and hp/mp upgrades as you want later 4) Training larger amounts(like 10 instead of 5) of hp/mp at once saves you a little money-look at the prices 5) Glacial amulets are much better because they stun and the extra damage provided by the fire amulets is small 6) Do the sidequests by pressing the green button at the thrilling trainers store; the first allows you to sometimes dodge attacks in battle 7) The secret cow dungeon opens by beating the Diablo clone in the insane dungeon after you beat the storyline portion of the game 8) Gaining levels will often provide you with free heals and allow you to progress further in dungeons, so pay attention to the exp bar and only use potions when necessary
I know only highly rated games typically get achievements, but let's be honest: text adventure games just turn some people off, so this game will never be rated high enough to get achievements even though it deserves them. + if you agree that's not cool.
I'll just spell this out for people since it is very illogical: "use" the pen(if you have the paper as well) and it will write a note automatically. Then use the note and it will put it in the empty bottle(on ground after tavern man vanishes) automatically. Finally, go to the section of moat 1 screen west and 1 screen north from the bridge guard and use bottle. Go through the secret passage and have a seat...
It seems to me that all the tank downloading, creating, editing, etc. has just complicated what was a simple, awesome game. Maybe it's just me, but I find it way too confusing to even bother; maybe adding a classic mode or something with a standardized tank tree would make people like me who are just looking to kill some time with a fun little flash game stick around longer.
