This is a neat game, but the endgame is WAY TOO SLOW. I blew through the first portion of the game (i.e. getting to all upgrades) in about two or three days. Now, I've been poking the tasks for a week or two, and I'm not even to 90% on those. No interactivity at all, at this point. :(
This isn't a ripoff of SwarmSim... it's a (mechanical) ripoff of Shark Game, and that's not specifically a bad thing - I love the way it does things.
Part of the charm of Shark Game was the little stories about everything you encountered though - a description of a polluted sea, various sorts of fish you catch, etc. etc. It gave you something to look at when you were bored of clicking/managing/etc.
If this isn't, in fact, using Shark Game as heavy inspiration... well. The dev should play it and take a look. It's got a lot of lessons to teach. :)
I'm afraid I'm going to have to join the list of people giving a poor rating to this game due to the game not saving correctly.
I understand it's a browser support issue, but I'm not changing my browser to accommodate one game when every other idle game I play (here and elsewhere) seems to somehow manage to save.
Part feature request, part almost-bug-report. I'd like to see other pieces of equipment be upgradeable as well, such as the heat exchangers and more importantly, the heat CAPACITY of items. I'm in the silly position of having heat vents that can dump almost 1M per second, but can only hold 500k heat because that doesn't upgrade. Similarly, I can't dump heat into them fast enough via exchangers, because I'm capped at ~250k for the best ones.
I'm looking forward to seeing where you go from here. Great game, and I remember enjoying the first one... it's just too short. Also, a suggestion - have an option to turn off the various target types (for example, I usually don't do the timer ones, so I'd like to make them not appear with a toggle.)
Thank you, I really appreciate that! I know a few people have been requesting some kind of toggle option for the targets, so I will see what I can do in the next update.
@ vasfy re: autosave:
I played for 5 or 6 hours, and my browser crashed. No issues reloading saves from other idle games I was playing, but this one started back from the beginning.
After loading the game, manually playing for 5 minutes, and closing the game, it still restarts once reopened.
My rating of 1 for "no autosave" stands unless/until this is fixed, no matter how much people downvote me for it.
I'd have rated this higher if music upgrades didn't make things -worse- after a certain point. Also, the mystery bone is just fail design.
5/5 up to a certain point, then plummeted to 1/5.
A suggestion for the dev to extend gameplay - have planets automatically generated with increasingly large distance, HP, and value for destruction.
A second suggestion - don't just record objects destroyed; record damage done in total. Again, just another numbers thing to shoot for. :)
Thank you, I really appreciate that! I know a few people have been requesting some kind of toggle option for the targets, so I will see what I can do in the next update.
