oh my god. i feel like such an idiot now that i know how to get all of the third notes. there were several times on my first play through where i had almost gotten one and i was just like, "huh, that's a weird thing," not realizing i was only one step away.
i don't understand why people are bothered by it being a demo. by browser game standards, it still feels like a full game. the app is just even more full. i love these types of games. no instructions, just go. really is a thing of beauty.
for people who started at level 3 (or 2 for some stranger reason) and you don't think you can finish the remaining levels, just refresh the page and it'll take you back to the level select.
this feels like a great step in educational gaming. if only it was a little more engaging, i feel like i could take a lot more from it. it's like, the information is all there, but i don't really feel compelled to sit there and read it all. still, excellent work.
the trick is to be just out of the enemies line of sight, so they're just sitting there saying to themselves, "where are all these bullets coming from?!"
i'm pretty sure the issue with watching a video but it not counting is because the viewer switched tabs in their browser while the video was playing, thus not actually watching it. because i wasn't paying attention and switched tabs to check a notification while watching a video, and that's the only time it has happened.
i don't think it was too difficult? there are really no repercussions for dying and you can pretty easily over level. i think i only died when i was just being lazy and running through enemies or when i landed in the lava.
not nearly enough variety in gameplay. it got crazy repetitive fast. i think adding a couple different weapons types would have help tremendously. and maybe an autofire option. i felt like i was going to break my mouse.
my advice: turn the sound off, zoom in, and try to focus on the lasers at the top of the screen and just notice the ones coming from the side with your peripheral vision. it's bizarre, it's annoying, and it's not really even that much fun, but i got through it.
let's ignore the problem with the lag for a second. the user interface and menu systems need a lot of work too. i had no idea what half of the icons meant for the longest time. and then i made the assumption that the outfit at the bottom of each list (specifically for each skill) would have the highest stats, but that's not the case. why is that not the case?
That shouldn't be the issue, but hey, you never know!
