i do have to ask: if we can't interact with the map at all, what's the point of having us walk around? it just seems like a waste of time. sure, there's the occasional treasure chest, but you should consider adding more "hidden" things, or maybe making the map more of a maze so it's at least interesting.
for the record, you should probably work on getting a 4.0 rating by making a great game. not by bribing players into giving you a higher rating. that alone got a 1/5 from me.
as an upgrade enthusiast, i can't express to you enough how much i, and others, want their to be purchasable upgrades using the stars we earn by completing levels. coupled with that, there should really be an explanation of how the stars are earned, exactly. i get the impression that they're earned by completing the level quickly, which kind of makes sense, but is disappointing because i, like a lot of people, like to take my time when i'm playing games like this. the next thing is hats and achievements. i think both should offer in game bonuses. of course, fort related achievements should have fort related bonuses, lab achievements have lab bonuses, etc. hats, however, i could see giving any kind of bonus when worn. a fun game, but i just feel like i'm playing level after level with no progress. using upgrades to make the game easier makes it feel like you're accomplishing something every time you purchase an upgrade.
alright, the two parts i struggled the most with: 1) put the potion on the meat. 2) put the meat on the hook. // great game though. an interesting take on escape games. nice and simple too. you didn't need to add a ton of overwhelming bells and whistles like a lot of games feel the need to do.
i haven't gotten the hard badge YET, but i'm going to go ahead and share my strategy: the only two units i use are the Elf Ranger (wind) and the Puppy Dragon (fire), and then i place my hero in front of them to act as a protective wall, as they're both ranged units. then, when i level up, i put my stats into health/defense so i can tank for longer and i use my mana on the healing spell. i'm not sure if i bought the Puppy Dragons or if i unlocked them by playing, but i'm pretty sure you start out with the Elf Rangers.
who ever's idea it was to make bacon walk under platforms so that they're only vulnerable for a split second at a time: i have some profanities for you.
