wow, it took 2 years between people hitting sort by oldest and leaving a comment... games the definition of a 2 but I rated 3 since it's easily better than half the favorites list...how do such thoroughly BAD games get top ratings? is there a set of people that play them first and rate them high to get things started? ...that might actually be it.
priorities should always be mechanics, balancing, and continuity. with overall game flow being the ultimate goal. This is true no matter what kind of game you are trying to make, even if the goal is a constantly interrupted flow to cause systems of obsession like most arcade style games.
You really really need to add an impossible map checker into your level-generator, at the very least check for enough space with no red to hold the winning circle and enough food to actually get to the winning size. I'm ending at a blank screen with red dots and about 20% more needed over half the time in endless. Assuming there is a speed, gather, and invincibility to make it possible to clean the map...
Also: it would be incredibly helpful to be able to see the single most important stat in the game BEFORE buying the creature, ap rate is not shown in stores.
this game is great up until you're straight up required to grind money to buy items to win the next round, that's just plain retarded. in the actual meaning of the word, not the lazy insult.
I am seriously recording higher hit rates from enemies hit by holy light than party members at 95% accuracy... it wasn't like this last time I played, can't think of a reason for it to have changed
graaarrgh! I was on the final bridge on the 4th truck with spikes and ammo and the controls cut out. All I had to do was hit space for a 16 truck run and it. would. not. HIT!
one other big thing, why the heck do your mortars specifically target the fastest enemy in range? they'll detarget from a tank attacking them to fire at a gunship until they die, it's ridiculous...
there really should be a way to farm for money or level units a LOT cheaper, it's like you're playing rock paper scissors but you loose on a tie, you just don't get enough resources to keep changing from paper to rock when the rng gods throw scissors at your face. This is coming from someone who won fairly easily (it's a balance issue, not a "I can't win, make it easier mama" comment).
