Not a bad game, but the left-to-right attack system does get a bit old. I think that different skills should have different timing systems, like lining up a circle, or some other things that are hard to explain via text, but you get what I mean (I hope). Other than that I like the nice simple gameplay. I also don't notice any form of EXP bar, so maybe that could be put in to a future game, since its not really needed, just nice? I cant say much about the storyline, I havent read any text ^^;; ( I know Im missing sidequests or w/e, oh well Im doing fine lol)
4/5, very nice job
I suck at corners. Im at 600 on hard and I can get through obstacles no problem but as soon as a corner comes up Im done =[. This is gonna be like how I play CoD on veteran - Cuss until I get a checkpoint, breathe a sigh of relief at checkpoints, and repeat those two steps til I beat the game xD (Or get the hard badge in this case).
I know nothing about this game yet. I've only seen the title screen. But my first thought once I saw it was by Berzerk Studio was "Okay, I know this game will be good". You guys havent let me down yet with your games, let's see how this one goes =D
@manipulator200: I guess you're not very good at puzzle games then, cause this one was fairly simple. If youre stuck just try anything you can think of, no matter how stupid, you'll get it eventually.
4. I've been writing this for a good 2 mins after I beat the boss, and I have neither died nor hit ground. One of those has to happen if you fall off the path.
5. The background is pretty, but are those platforms floating in space? I dont think I saw any sort of ground other than those horizontal lines, makes the game feel.. less fun I guess
6. You need storyline, or at least some background info. "After escaping the exploding planet and flying away, Master Chief's ship entered warp drive, and him and Cortana ended up on a mysterious planet. There are zombies. He must survive." Even if you just have something liek that at the beginning, no story points are really needed throughout the game (though its nice to see), and then it can just be blood and bullets until the end cutscene.
Its a great start, Shadow Craver, but you have lots of work to do =P. Lemme know if/when you finish it, I'd love to play a full version.
Wow, exellent review I must say. Thank you for taking the time to write all of this. I will definately look into all the points and try to make the best of it. :)
The game has potential, certainly, but theres a lot you need to work on, I'll give you a list =D
1. You need to be able to aim, the shooting straight isn't going to make it anywhere.
2. Why can I only shoot in the direction Im facing? Or another way to question this is why can't I walk backwards so I can run away and shoot at the same time? It will certainly need that.
3. Master Chief (If this guy wasnt modeled after Halo, nothing was lol) moves way too slow. Maybe zoom out a bit or increase the movement speed to at least have a natural feel.
Hmm, I didnt know Kong had a comment length limit. Guess its time to double post!
The attack hotkey should be moveable. Im a mage, I'm not gonna smack things with my wand, and now theres gonna be skills I can't have on the hotkey cause of a skill I will never use.
This is a good game, but it can be improved. 15 seems like a fairly low level caps, as it doesnt allow you to choose that many skills, maybe a cap of 30 or so would be better, or whatever level you would have to be to max out all skills. More hotkeys would be great too, as well as a skill reset option. Maybe some sort of shop in between levels too so we can buy spec-specific gear, and increase atk/def with gear. Just some things to think about if you plan on making a sequel (which I would love to see, btw).
So, I've only played through once so far, but I can tell Im not going to stop til I get all 35 endings. This game is incredible, especially seeing as its just a text adventure.
@Leggy99 - What runs too slow, the game or the bunny? If you think the game runs too slow, get a better PC, cause it runs just fine for me. If you think the bunny runs too slow, you can upgrade your run speed in the talent tree, top left of the "Destroyer" path.
Really good job on this game, guys. The only thing I could suggest is to not have the camera zoomed in so much. Or, maybe make vvDANGERvv (v's are down arrows) when jumping down a pit with water in it, as it is very annoying to die from something you didnt know was going to kill you. But, that is barely important, 5/5
1/5 simply because the game can end mid-combo (which it did for me). Give us a chance to get to the next level, don't just end the game when we could still have a chance to get enough EXP. But, if I touch the ground with no fuel and didnt get enough EXP, then sure, kill me.
Okay, you seriously need to work on how hard it is to kill someone. If someone has an entire castle on the top of their head, they WILL die. We can't support tons and tons of rubble on our heads.
