20,000 for the final 'monster' was a nightmare. Reducing the game's height was a good call, but you should have kept the width the same and just changed the aspect ratio instead of taking the easy way out by squishing everything together in a barely readable format. Progression is absurdly slow, even after getting all upgrades and overall it simply isn't enjoyable. Even with an autoclicker it takes far too long to get anything done. Also needs more content, but that's a given, I'd hope. 2/5. Thanks for trying, at least.
Feedback: 1) Safe spot in the first room - it would give us time to get used to the timing of NPCs and learn their patterns, instead of needing to take off instantly to avoid getting caught by that guard in the first room. 2) NPCs with dialogue that changes based on how many challenges you had completed - mostly for flavor, but that kind of thing helps a lot. 3) Discord Link - Where is it? xP 4) A small tutorial to explain how enemies 'see' the player and their surroundings. 5) Impassable tiles over the stairs - Just a personal thing, but that annoys me when developers use invisible walls. Better to have some kind of event that fits with the game instead of an impassable tile. ~~~ Just my two cents. 10 puzzles down, last one actually gave me a start, what with that third guy obliterating my old path lol. Fun project, fun to play, and looking forward to those 5 puzzles because I want to see what this boss guy has to say.
Early Tips: 75 of each level so you can get 3 of that idlemon, then get first badge from Olivia, move to second area and beat tamers. Repeat until level 100.
It's finally ready. Congratulations, Esh! This was a hard fought battle, and an uphill one at that... But we're finally in the second phase of development - the phase where I fix all your broken text and add filler content to explain the things you didn't notice the first time around. :P
Others have already said it, but I'm going to say it anyway - There isn't enough game here for players to 'test' yet. It works, but there is far too little interaction. 2/5, in the hopes that this becomes something good later.
Typo in the first text window we see.. 'planes' should be 'plains' ~ Beyond that, I'm really liking what I see. A simple, enjoyable idle game with some real potential. 4/5
Finally finished this little unpolished gem... I gave it a 5/5 because I really do like what I see here and I'm eager to see what this series brings. As for feedback, well... I'm already talking to you (Eshleman) in Discord so... I'll just give my feedback there lol. Hoping a patch comes in to clear up confusion and fix a couple of oversights and the typos.
Error on attempting to load the game: "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'buffer' of undefined" Kind of hard to play a game that won't load. Hope this gets fixed soon. (Chromium based browser SlimJet x64 latest version)
Alternative controls not mentioned elsewhere (that I could find): Z - Accept; X - Cancel/Menu; Q/W - Switch Character (in menus; Status, Skills, etc); These are the classic RPG Maker controls, and they work in RMMV games as well.
Basic strat for new players looking to kill enemies early on - Against Slimes you can guard your way through their attacks until they run out of MP, then either guard to take advantage of your 1% HP regen per turn, or kill them at your leisure and head back to base to heal up. A few early fetch quests can give you all the experience you need to level up at least once though. (But I never found the axe... Got peeved and quit because dev's other games are much better)
Played around for maybe 20-30 minutes with this one. Think I'll stick to the other games you've released. A bit of feedback though - An introduction would be a huge plus. Even if it's only a couple of dialogue boxes long. Just to give the player an idea of what to do to get started. Also, informing the player that it's a bad idea to fight monsters until they have a bit of gear would also save some players (like myself) from an unnecessary Game Over shortly after starting the game. Anywho, time to head back to play some more Witch's Tail and Craft and Conquer.
Someone please explain to me how this gem slipped under the radar for 3 months. This is exactly what I was missing in my life. The only thing I could possibly hope for is a better method to farming specific materials, but the dev's replies to other comments tell me that he has that covered in future updates, so... yeah, I'm golden here. 5/5!
This is my game that is still under active development. It takes awhile, but this game is super rewarding when you start challenging the infinity tower
Welp. I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but I got stuck on stage 11. Really loved the concept though. Spent a good 30 minutes just repeating the same mistakes over and over lol. Good little fun game, but I got stuck so you lost a star for that. 4/5. Much respect, and good luck with future projects.
Thanks for the feedback =) You help me reach the idle game
