At the beginning of the intro I feared it would be an other "I'm alone and I hate my life" story. Thank you it is a "There is hope" story (at least this far). And I love the music and the sounds.
Other than a speed button, it also would be nice, to have some sort of indicator to tell you about wave progress, a bar or something to know how much till the next wave, or especially till the end of the iron challenge (though I guess it adds to the challenge factor in iron challenge)
The game does look beautiful and the music is nice too, but those small greyish zones near the grass look somewhat out of place and take away from the overall beauty. I wouldn't say it "ruins" the atmosphere, but it is a bit ugly. If there is a way to change this, I think it would be a good idea to do so.
Um, a match3 game won't survive nowdays without a good story and/or fun gameplay. There are just a millions of such games out there and this one is just not noteworthy in any way. I'm sorry to say that. It looks nice and the music is okay (for me at least), but there is nothing making me want to play this. There isn't even an over-all game-score. The gameplay is exactly same for each level - at least up to level 4. That is how far I could go without getting bored. If this was the first game with such a game-play concept, that might be OK, but there is Bejewelled and all the others. Why should we play This and not those? What makes this game unique? Hopefully you'll be able to improve. Good luck.
This TIP really works: To make customers happy about elevators, you should not make 20+ level tall elevators. Break down the elevators to appr. 10 floor tall sections. Example: one section from floor 1-12 and an other section 12-20. And so on. Also it is advisable to have staff only elevators too. Be careful, not to mess up the layout. If one lift goes from 1-12 then the other must start at 12 or bellow. Save before you re-wamp your elevators and don't worry if you have to delete (quite) a few rooms in the process. The money will come back if you do it right.
WAIT! You're telling me that it costs only 100 to expand the frigging shaft?! Why the hell can't you say it in the description?! I was thinking it cost 25k to build each level. I would have built a huge hotel have I known this....
TIP: You can cast spells on multiple targets by pressing the left (all enemies) or right (all allies) arrow key. I don't know if it's only me forgetting this all the time or not. Give it a + if you think it could help others too.
This is one of those games that truly deserve 5/5, actually probably even more. And it is totally free. No annoying ads, no "buy more tokens here for only a gazillion kreds so you can play 3 more minutes" and it's far better than many of those games.
I am just amazed how much life this game has. I mean it's not just an other bland, meh timewaster. It has nice humour and a good story, it shows the developer did it with some passion. I hope it pays something back for Pseudolonewolf.
Could the descriptions of the characters be available somewhere? Maybe at the level select screen? So I don't have to free them again to find out what they can do...?
