Hehe...well, I don't know by which physics law making the Earth cubical would allow an easier alien invasion...or how by spinning it around the reproduction rate would increase...but the game was fun and the ending hilarious.
Well, the controls are pretty bad...the boss attack pattern looks random, so there's not much technique involved, just attack before they get the chance to use their best moves.
Though it's a 3/5 for various reasons:
-Too many levels with too little variations! The game should've ended at level 40 IMO.
-No achievements, and too little choices of weapons (you are almost forced to always take the newest ones 'cause they're the only ones powerful enough
-The health bar only lasts 3 hits from anything, from a regular zombie to five hulks pounding you at once
-More upgrades for character/weapons
-Make it a bit slower and with more complex obstacles (like medkits or baits that slow down the horde)
-Allow to shoot to wider angles, making you able to only shoot at an angle of 30° makes it impossible to shoot zombies directly above or below you.
-Add a save game feature. With these many levels...
Haha...a zombie game where you're not trying to make the big escape, save the human species or protect your improvised mall/fort...you're RUNNING FOR DEAR LIFE IN YOUR PINK JAMMY!
Fantastic!
It's pretty nice, just two minor complaints:
1-Explosions are SOOOO overpowered, they can tear through level 3 bumper, windscreen and armor in just a couple hit
2-Needs.Multiplayer.
The game itself is pretty good, kinda looks like the usual "reach for the stars" game, but the evolution system and various upgrades make it worth the time playing. My suggestions would be... 1-Make so that you can set only this many active skills, and the passives always effective
2-Make the skill upgrade paths more clear...they're a bit confusing.
3-Give the option to de-evolve the creature to try and obtain another evolution path.
Here are the basic strategies for the 3 classes...
Engineer:Money and space is pretty scarce, turrets block each other's view and you can't remove placed buildings.Plan ahead, and make sure all the enemies pass at least once by your tower's view while crossing the maze, and try not to build next to other towers or walls, else most of the shots will just get blocked.
Commando:Try an hit-and-run approach with the knife. If you're dealing with kamikazes, obliterate them from a distance with the shotgun or let your towers have at them.
Destroyer:The dynamite is a highly reliable weapon:even without upgrades it can one-hit kill or otherwise manage most of the lesser critters at difficulties up to Hard.Create a choke point and exercise your timing so that it explodes right in the cluster of enemies.Slowing towers are a big help.
Nice game, with pretty good graphics and commendable efforts on the music and sound side.Though it would have been a bit better with a little bit of cutscenes for the start and end...
Uhm, pretty good game...but there is way too many space management issues involved. An upgrade for the base's size and no. of floors, as well as the capability of manually choosing which minions to train.
