I dont think this game takes too much grinding, although perhaps I'm not far enough in, and perhaps since some of the original comments they've changed the settings. What bugs me is the amount of time you spend killing already disabled opponents. Once they can't attack you the mercy or no mercy decision should come into play. Or the tactic of "chop of one arm on each one" shouldn't be so effective, so the battle actually continues as a battle.
The pedant in me would love to see things like the Charity Shield and the World Club Cup, but I still think this is a fantastic game that is going to grace my laptop and phone for some time to come
Oh, and contary to what Sdrol says.. this game could probably do with a harder difficulty! Verging a bit on the easy side particularly after one season! But I do like the fact that my career record says I score more than a goal and an assist per game. Just like real life.
This is a great game.. looks like its got a bit of classic championship manager influence but with the twist of being a player. One of the great things about champ manager was the "history" element.. it'd be lovely to see something along those lines incorporated into a new version if you ever do one. Basically its my way of saying that more stats would be great and being able to view how you did with previous clubs, rather than just over the course of an entire career.
Then again.. I'm a very very dull human being.
Great game, and so many possibilities for more. Supergun would be a great mode if you could make the girlfriend vulnerable to bullets. It'd also be "nice" if you could shoot her at the end for an alternative ending (or perhaps there could be a rival sexy zombie).
One of my more eclectic comments..
11/10 awards achieved eh? Interesting.. If only I'd paid more attention to them when they flashed on my windscreen!
Great game, 5/5 for its playability, although I do agree with some posters that it can be a tad easy.
Also.. but this is pedantry stemming from love - it'd be nice to be able to use "ctrl + A" so that you could delete that long word you wrote out twice.. can kill a game and for fast typers its a bit frustrating!
On some of the later levels, you have to lay the brick on its side over the finish point and a fragile wooden platform.. I may just be an idiot (err.. scratch that.. I am), but it would be good to have been warned this was possible. The finish point feels like a hole, so its a bit unexpected that it would be able to support the brick in conjunction with a fragile wooden bit. Thus you avoid moves because it *feels* like the brick will give way, but in fact its crucial to solving the puzzle. I'd nigh convinced myself one of the puzzles was impossible, just because of this little rule quirk.
And.. I get the award for the most boring and pedantic post ever on Kongregate. I should point out that over than that the game is fantastic, very rewarding, and exactly the right difficulty level. Good stuff.
Without much finesse you can get 65% for level 7 on two slice mode, and with that the badge becomes easy (getting Kong to register it does not). I don't do youtube so I'll just describe it. You need to make a slope on the white square. In the same slice, cut a triangle off the red square. This will get stuck. To avoid this, time your second slice on the right red square to go through the falling left red square. Then it will all go nicely. It will avoid hours of frustration getting 1% here or there on other levels for that hard badge.
Sorry, but this game isn't remotely as slick as the first [at least.. as I remember it]. So many take downs don't get registered (for example, any time you are skilful and get a close escape - no take down). This is particularly annoying given the time bonus system. It's also a shame that given the gap between the two games there hasn't really been much expansion, nor an attempt to sort out the major problem with the last game and the controls (i.e. the ease with which you can unintentionally jump to your death). It's also annoying that when using the very handy arrow button system for quick restarts, its so easy to go back to the menu. It's still a great game, I just can't see any reason at all to play it over the original, so.. I've stopped.
Bit annoying that after you complete the game you there (at least on my computer) is a bug. So I cannot go and complete the riddles which I had not done yet. A lot of effort to do it with a new character. The bug works by flashing different map squares at you, but you cannot move, access any menus or anything. The only thing you can do is refresh to go back to the main menu, but will not solve the problem. Otherwise a lovely game.
Great game if a little too easy. Touch interface an absolute dream on SG2. Not sure if other commentators realise that you can drag your finger along for quick and easy combos.
Some pretty strange decision-making went into this game. Why is episode 3 so much easier than episode 2 [clue - the answer is always lots of small lasers]. Also, why is the last, hardest level, in fact a weird video of another battle, which you cannot be involved in at all. That's an incredible anti-climax.
Its a nice game. But there is no replay value. Its far too easy, I won on hard at the first attempt with tiny castle damage. Not actually sure how you would lose. Put off trying the sequel by the comments about "never ending games". Shame, nice idea.
