Yep, as redbeardtrev says, you get the completion badge a level early, which frankly is a good thing, because whilst I enjoy the game, it gets a bit tedious!
This is a lovely little hidden gem on Kongregate. Very glad it was a Botd. Don't know how people get 1000 though. 500 seems to be my cutoff point on hard. But I am notoriously rubbish at things.
sambg - that wouldn't be impossible at all. I did it the second time round (for the badge) with 16 deaths. There are set ways of doing all the levels. In fact, this time I didn't even notice level 29 because I did it first go.
I agree with amcool007 about the lag. This does lag unnecessarily and inexplicably on my computer. However, despite that, it is still a really enjoyable game, and frankly one of the easiest hard badges I've ever done on Kongregate.
Gaarasama - I'm in my 4th season. Yes, the game got easier. I score almost all my chances (there's just one type of chance I don't have a pretty much 100% conversion rate). But the actual result of the game does not change. I am still having getting low-mid-table finishes year on year and getting knocked early out the cup. You can be as good as you want to be in this game, but you can't necessarily win.
However I'm a masochist, and I still recommend the game to others. As long as you don't think of River Park as title challenges its a lot of fun.
I've got agree with arff. I'm in my 3rd season yet so only have moderately good boots. I've passed all the training drills, but not all golds yet. I scored 50+ goals in my 30 league matches last season. That makes Messi look like a chump. I'm missing very few chances now. But I still looking at a relegation battle this season. Hard to see the point of carrying on.
Piranhatron, as you get better shooting ability training exercises become easier. I've got gold on SHOOTING 4A now. The bonus for 10 in a row is 1000 which makes a big difference.
This game does have a learning curve. Its worth sticking at it. The controls become much easier as you practice, and you learn how to beat the goalkeeper (at times!). As long as you aren't expecting hours of gameplay in one sitting, this game has a lot going for it, and is really worth giving at least a season.
I have to say the developers of this game are really very good at communicating with us gamers. Report an issue in the game? They email back after a few days. Post a comment on the forum? They do their best to respond. Its very commendable.
A timer to let us know when we'll lose focus and "miss" our chance to shot is very much necessary. Particularly as it varies depending on the type of match chance.
Hmm.. something I'd missed about one of the recent updates. They've locked the only thing you can do without energy. Previously challenge Downing was free, now it is 99 coins. Given that I have already beaten Downing and could challenge Henderson, to have both of these retrospectively locked is quite frankly disgraceful. It makes me wonder what other content they will randomly lock as the game goes on. Should I bother playing any further?
Once you get past level 30 you're home free. There is actually quite an easy path though even for level 30, so try and work that out, rather than thinking the game requires one perfect fortuitous run. You'll need a bit of luck, but nothing insane.
Just had a game where I had no chances at all. 3-0 away loss to Nottingham. Its time-consuming getting the match fitness to play games. Then to not be involved at all? V. Frustrating. This game really Really needs polishing. Its very annoying because it could be a wonderful game.
If I have 53/50 match fitness points, 3 of them should really carry over. Energy is hard enough to come by as it is. Also, I'm getting a little frustrated with being amazing and my team being rubbish. I score on average 2 goals a game. From 3-4 chances. Any team with a striker that good should be well up the league. But so far I have 17 goals, Danny 3 and Laidlaw 1. I should be getting a LOT more praise.
