That's a really lousy graphics of a water fountain. Should also allow you to fill the kettle in the bathroom sink. I got stuck with finding a water-source and it seemed logical to fill it in a sink..the bathroom sink. Took me forever to click every screen until I accidentally click a square box that apparently was a water fountain.
The Emerald puzzle has to be the toughest out of the Sapphire, Ruby, Diamond series. I think it's because you have to make multiple references (have to tie in 2 separate clues) to figure stuff out. After playing over an hour, I gave up and just went for the walkthrough. The other gem series, did it without walkthrough because those made more logical sense.
@ognjen20 Password for door at wax museum is the missing numbers on the Math contest puzzle. Password for door at Joe's Burger is written on the napkin. It's the telephone number.
Your units max out at level 12 and the PIKEMEN has over 6000 HP while Cavalry is only around 2000 HP. A little outta whack so just buy a ton of PIKEMEN. They upgrade to level 12 pretty cheap.
After Asia is conquered, it gets boring having such a "golden horde" that doesn't hold formation (meaning you gotta spend 30 minutes to place the units every battle) , I just click the "FIGHT" button and hit speed X4 without changing squat.
Wow that sucks big time. I lost a mission...and used the password 4038F but the mission resets with no upgrades and I have no anti-ICBM defense. So my base gets nuked. The password is useless.
This is the first game where I've seen a "Reset" as a feature after each scenario. You really need a "Replay" button, not a RESET button. Reset is a Clear Progress Data and makes you start all over from the start.
And then...goes on to the GREAT MAGE election where "The Clan Leader of Red Fire Clan" speaks out having no objection to me being the great mage. Didn't I just beat this guy in my own clan's arena to become the Clan Leader of Red Fire Clan. Why am I talking to myself saying I have no objection to being the great mage? This part of the dialogue needs a check to see if the player is already a clan leader and delete the text. It doesn't make sense.
Tavern Master: Good Evening, Wilson. Rank 5 mage is the Clan Leader of Red Fire Clan, you can find him in the Great Hall of Red Fire Clan. [character is Rank 6, goes to Great Hall] Who do you want to talk to? Clan Leader: You are Clan Leader now. SO I'M FOREVER STUCK AT RANK 6.
The timeline for historical events are too rigid. In order to succeed in say, the Apprentice Challenge, you basically need to train 2 mana burn, 2 low defense, and 2 high defense....leaving only 1 in attack. This goes for any clan since the specials don't kick in and you're so limited on time that you can't train anything else. Not much RPG to it in order to success...you're pretty much set one path in order to beat the game.
"Mission Failed: You failed to join the rest of the squadron in time." Cuz I thought I was the same pilot from Mission 1 and the com was talking to an ally npc that was going to join my group. Didn't realize in Mission 2 I was a different guy. Would be nice to know who I am.
I'm sure it's based on historical accuracy but it would be nice for the game to tell me who I am. The first tutorial mission I had no idea I was one of the pilots talking in the dialogue. Part of the introduction should give a small background into my character, including my avatar so when any dialogue is spoken, I know it's me that's talking and not some other guy.
"You are pilot ##### from #### have signed up for >>>>". Gets the player more in touch with the character they're playing.
Overall great game. Too bad the screen movements are so slooowww...you can't react to enemy fire during survival mode. Takes DEM forever to rush and knife those mortarmen (cuz your marine manning the turret is too busy shooting line of sight at the mortarmen through the dirt/rock/hill). The resource is too slow +125 doesn't do much and it's too cumbersome to micromanage your units. How about a medic unit? I spend all my time with DEM standing at the HQ using the heal command. Send units out, kill, come back, then DEM heals them. Upgrading their armor would be nice. Anyhow, survival mode is just plane insane/impossible.
@ishu_bagaria - just imagine you (the viewer) are looking southward and not northward and it'll make sense. If you're looking southward, then west would be to your right. Since side-scrolling games are generally from left to right.
From the opening graphics, I gave you a 5 start. For once, a developer shows some artistic talent by drawing a pretty female warrior in realistic armor without resorting to cleavage exposure. Nobody goes into battle showing cleavage since an arrow to the heart is an instant death...developers just draw that to entice players to play their games.
"At first I was afraid, I was petrified" - Ending comment from crazy owner/boss in Stage 6 after you get the radio upgrade. Google it...just don't dance on the belt.
At first I was afraid I was petrified.
Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side.
But then I spent so many nights
Thinking how you did me wrong.
And I grew strong!
And I learned how to get along!
So now you're back from out of space.
I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face.
.....
Did I lay down and die
Oh no, not I! I will survive!
Oh and as long as I know how to love I know I stay alive.
I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give.
And I'll survive!
....
It took all the strength I had not to fall apart.
Kept tryin' hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart!
And I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself. I used to cry!
But now I hold my head up high.
And you see me somebody new!
I'm not that chained-up little person still in love with you.
Just started. Great game...very indepth. I just noticed that there needs to be a tooltip/hover text on each of the Hero's faces to show their names. The tutorial/1st level said choose Alfred and I forgot what he looks like. The icon for FIRE also needs to have a hover/tooltip. You do this in the individual unit's profile with Strength, Speed, Experience etc but it would be nice to include the elements as well. The graphics for fire is hard to see. I assumed I had a hero with AIR and LIGHTNING as elements....not clear.
