Definitely an underrated game, and definitely one of my favorite "home-cooked" style games. I wish it wasn't laggy during transitions, but it gets a bit better after the first two tries or so. I just wish there was a really long version.
Also, no top comment pointing out all zombies are literally ripped from L4D? I think it adds to the atmosphere of the game, but come on.
You'd think in a game where falling through the walls and floors is such a common occurance, there would be a suicide button or a world kill underneath the map.
This honestly is a terrible game. Button mashing is almost the only mechanic, and the button mashing doesn't even work right. I can hit the down arrow key 10 times per second, and objects will slowly float up. Hit the button much slower, and they will sink. It's a guessing game combined with arm pain.
Well it must not be TOO modern if the tactics are Elizabethan style "Walk forward and shoot at the enemy while they shoot at you," but I guess it would be hard to make a tower defense game where you don't encounter the creeps and the biggest threat is disease and IEDs. Also, any actual creeps would be mowed down in a fraction of a second, no matter how numerous they were. So good job on getting the theme down! :-)
If your goal is to have the character slip between two falling objects when they're seperated by one floor, you failed miserably, because that's not physically possible. The controls are barely explained, the mechanics are not explained, and often times its impossible to both get the diamond and live. This might actually be the WORST game ever made.
Really good game, very long, good design and concepts. I haven't run into bugs myself. However, there were a few cheap designs throughout that weren't necessarily too hard, they just seemed cheap. After a particularly difficult or time consuming segment, their might be some little thing at the end to try and get a quick kill on you, forcing you to do the whole puzzle/extremely precise series of jumps/etc all over again. Anything that sends you back checkpoints also just seemed unfair. While I'd like to rate this game down to 4/5 because I still feel a bit gypped, I can't honestly do it because the rest of the game is so good. So 5/5, with a few complaints.
(Also, I appreciate that the menu is part of the game. That really did it for me, reminds me of my favorite ps1 games.)
