@C: cooling circuits work *much better* than in your example, put a heat pipe next to the fuel, and 3 reflectors. from the heatpipe you can split the heat threeways (i did with more heatpipes, flanking lines of heatpipes with vents). i have two single nefastium cells running that way, about 60 vents connected to each. i need to figure out the correct number of vents to use .... with 11T heat in the reactor i make 1.2T/tick. its a bit tricky to keep the heat, i leave some uncooled lower fuel elements standing around for balancing.
@F7: see, i knew it ... wait what? Hmm, every 3 days sounds acceptable, and it should be possible to maybe squeeze 1-2 more fuel in, since you have some surplus shielding ... hmm, need to check something ...
Hmm, the only way to make more than about 4-5 B/tick (depending on upgrades) seems to be to switch out coolant cells like mad. Somehow it seems kind of pointless to me to be the braindead workerbee of a computergame. To me the interesting part is thinking of interesting combinations to make a most efficient idle reactor. To that end the game mechanics only offers combinations of fuel, plating and vents + one capacitator, everything else is just waste of space. The very limited vents seem to make double nef the end of the line for efficient builds, so plating about half the reactor and double cooling separate double nef fuels seems to be the best design (someone posted pictures, i tried triple cooling with less plating but ended up with one fuel cell less).
What are all these transferring heat to and from the reactor components for? They only take space away that i need for plating, vents and fuel. They only shuffle heat around, but i need to get it *out*. Also they transport less heat than vents (in a heavily plated reactor) manage. And why would i want heat inlets? Putting the fuel without adjacent cooling in the reactor will do the job better and less space intensive.
Is there any heat balancing mechanism? I.E. the hotter the reactor the less heat is generated or the faster heaat is removed? At the moment the simplest way to keep a constant heat (to benefit from the fission bonus) seems to be to avoid heat exchangers and leave an uncooled cell running until the desired temperature is reached. Also: how to use Dolorium/nefastium efficiently? I already use 50-60 ultimate plating to get my vents up to speed, about the same amount of capacitators to get auto sales (with only one 2x bonus left) and the rest is 50-50 seaborgx4 (with 3 neighbours) and ultimate vents. There is one capacitator update left but that's about it.
WTF while waiting for the points to regenerate (annoying game mechanics) the game disconnects. This (and the fact that the annoyance mode doesn't allow any Progress anyway) earns 1 well deserved Point.
Now rate this down, i don't care, i'll stop playing this extra boring game.
Rituals help somewhat, but to bridge gaps of 10^6 (100 septillion, 100 nonillion, 100 undecillion) is just not possible without waiting forever. Also i wonder how to progress when i've got 1000 of all minions and all bosses (somewhere in the nonillion - undecillion range i guess). Doesn't anyone of the developpers grab some calculator and runs a few numbers, or simulate the game in a developpers version (e.g. with a factor of 60 (1h= 1s) and idle bonus constantly applied)?
Heat exchangers ARE the heat balancing mechanism.
