A mile is 5280 feet. With a fully upgraded gas tank and a rocket booster to help I can make it 3000 feet to the helicopter. Man, gas mileage in the zombie apocalypse sucks.
*giant ship spews thousands of bullets bigger than my one tiny ship* Wait, where'd it go? I didn't manage to destroy it in the first couple of minutes. It "escaped."
Yay! I got to the helicopter! ... Wait a sec. I've got an 18-wheeler with a rocket booster and a minigun. What do I want with a dinky little helicopter?
Good game. I especially like what you did with the name. One thing: The game seems a little too eager to decide I'm stuck. Had a couple of times where I bounced in place but had fuel left. Game ended the day before the truck had a chance to get traction and start moving again.
Beautiful game. Love the art, smooth controls. Surprise ending. One small complaint: I loved seeing the mute buttons on the loading screen. I was very disappointed when (after I pressed them) that was followed by loud, unskippable, and unmutable music in the opening credits.
"You're late. This delivery was supposed to have been here at 11. How many cars did you blow up getting here? 50? Oh. In that case, you're right on time."
An educational platformer is good. But this one needs work. The graphics are poor, the gun can't be aimed and does little damage, the stars are faster and more agile than you are... as a platformer it just doesn't cut it. You could make up for that with a good educational element, but doing simple arithmetic in the corner isn't much. Especially since it's solving the equations for you. Someone with math skills at that level probably won't pay attention (and probably won't have the attention to spare from trying to dodge the enemies and jump around). If you had to find the right number to fill in the equation, that might be something. A bit of a challenge and a reason to pay attention to what numbers you're picking up. Not to mention the ability to choose multiplication or division. As a kid, I had a lot of fun with a game like that on the family's Apple IIc. It had better graphics and level design than this.
Great game. Simple controls, beautiful graphics, good amount of levels, nice challenge. Well done. Only thing I found odd/disappointing was the Megatron sword. Somehow, I was expecting it to be better than the GIANT scythe with a broad attack and the special ability to create a lasting vortex bubble that stuns and damages all enemies in range and also blocks all enemy weapons. Unless I'm missing something, the Megatron falls rather short of that.
Wish I could see my magnet's radius on the screen. And anti-magnets are just way too powerful, especially on Squares. Otherwise, good game. Good concept, generally well executed.
Reducing the size of the unlock notification and putting it away from the center of the screen (near the current speed, perhaps) would help, but I'm not sure why the game has to tell me that during a run. Can't it just let me know when I return to the main menu?
I'm impressed by how you continue to improve this game, add major features, and respond to comments. Well done! OTOH, I find the "SPEED UNLOCKED!" banner to be rather distracting, and it only comes when I'm moving faster than I've ever gone before in the game.
"Did you know you can sell cakes for money?" "Why, yes. I believe that's the premise used by most bakeries. ... Oh, you mean within the game. Right. Good to know."
Wow, you've been busy. Lots of tweaks and improvements, and plenty of comment responses. Very nice! Got one more for the list. It's great that we can pause now, but can you release the mouse cursor while the game is paused?
Ooo, very cool. A little tricky with my touchpad, but still a lot of fun. I'm having trouble with the rank data not loading quickly or well, however. Sometimes it even interrupts me mid-game to plaster my supposed rank over the middle of the screen. Once, while doing so, it told me I had achieved Rank 0.
Already dealt with for next version :)
