Still not for me. It's kind of a one-note gag, isn't it? A good gag, but do we really need it more than once? And the music doesn't really help. Also, an orange is a sphere, not a circle. Just sayin'.
Wow, nice. And it's already got a badge. Cool! Amazing how much difference mirror imaging can make. Adding the hint button is a nice touch.
The acid trip level was a bit much for me, but I love some of the other things you've done here. Especially the animations that happen on some levels when you get 5/6. Love the giraffe. And the deer.
And, in general... beautiful images, with a lot of artistry. Very nice. :)
The first game was a lot more tedious than fun. Some of the other stuff I recognized from "The Impossible Quiz" and other games. Still, it's a good start. Heck of a lot better than I could do.
Interesting game. Nice start. Could use sounds. And a pause button. And maybe speed control. Would like to see a better turning radius on the car, too. When you get turned around and dragged along by a collision, you should be able to right yourself without getting quite so close to the edge.
TheLostAngel - Diazepam is the right *arrow key* not button.
simonhason - The game seems very easy to me. I like the simple look and style, but there isn't much challenge. Aim, shoot. Missions are simple. People move slowly. No one reacts to shots. Dinged one off the airplane wing, and no one noticed. Shot the bodyguard, and the King guy didn't hear a thing. The targets in the last mission (two of the three, anyway) are pretty big, too. Oh, and I had a glitch in the last mission. Clicked and clicked, but, after the first shot, my rifle wouldn't work at all. Had plenty of ammo, could use the diazepam, but no shots. Had to reload the whole thing.
It was fun, but short and easy.
I like the look, and the music. But it needs work. Pause button. Mute button (for those who don't like the music). More variety and challenge would be nice. Blocks that take more than one hit to destroy should change look when they're hit, even if it's only to make them look like one-hit blocks. Good start, but... needs work.
I second everything CoolTapes said, except for the alignment. I like the sideways, personally, but it's not a big deal either way. The rest, through... he covered exactly my thoughts. Nice graphics, but gameplay needs work.
... It's a clone of "Sling," only without any of the challenging or interesting elements. I do like the pirate theme, but other than that... Not much to it.
Game controls need work, specifically gun direction. It's nice that you can swivel it, but not nice that it's tied to the same controls as your ship, and that it can only move when you're not actively firing. Maybe try mouse control for the gun?
Interesting game, but I'm not fond of the controls. The rotation is a problem. Having the ship always face the center makes the controls simpler, perhaps, but it makes aiming and going where you want more difficult and less intuitive.
Also, it seemed really unbalanced to me. Too many enemies, moving too quickly. Especially given that it was only the first couple of levels. Not enough room for a learning curve.
Upgrades and powerups might also be nice, though not necessary.
Good game! Got a nice look and feel to it, and it's just fun to play. Good classic side-scrolling shooter. :)
Some things to work on...
The standard gun has a tendency to get stuck in "autofire"mode. Not sure if that was intentional.
There should be a way to turn off the "propeller" (which really looks more like a rocket or a jetpack). That is, fly to where you need to go, land without burning up all your fuel, then take off again.
A "disorientation meter" or something would also be nice. Something to let you know that you're disoriented, and maybe how long it'll last. Maybe how close you are to being disoriented, too.
On some levels, you can move the camera to see what's below you. That's handy. It's frustrating when you hit places where that doesn't work.
What, exactly, is the bubble attack supposed to do to you? What can you do to break the bubble? Can it hurt you, or just make you float uncontrollably?
A little too violent for my tastes. Also very repetitive. And easy. And my eyes aren't entirely happy with low-contrast, low color.
I do like some of the humor and the style, and there's something to be said for simplicity. Could use some work, though.
Fun game! And that "Army of Lots" badge is really helpful. It's how I learned to stop worrying and love the (winged) bomb.
I thought support calls were going to be prohibitively expensive, but they actually pay for themselves (until you start getting really high in the repeat call numbers). I make constant use of them now (sometimes literally), and they make *all* the difference.
One thing I'm wondering about... are any of those metallic-skinned balloons actually lead zepplins?
In any case, it's real fun giving them a kick in the gondola!
