Poor controls, several puzzles that were impossible to solve without having to guess, and lots of stages where I wasn't making a picture of anything, just a random alignment of squares. 2/5
I'm not sure how much more clearly I can put this; if you put your game up on Kongregate, then you are attempting to make money off of it. Kongregate pays the developers with part of the ad revenue their games generate. So I flagged this game for infringement, because you're not allowed to make money off of somebody else's namesake. Period.
Alright then, so is this a problem with the name that I am using? 'Cause I doubt that it is a problem with the game-concept.
If this is a problem with the game name, I will be glad to rename it. If not, I really don't know what I can do, seeing that I can't find a button to delete it.
It takes more than 30 years for copyright to run out. And yes, you ARE trying to make money off of it, because that's what Kongregate is for; developers here get paid for high scoring games.
First of all, I don't try to make money off of it, at least knowingly. And even if I did, I wouldn't accept it or be able to because of what you are saying, it is copyrighted. I do not purposely upload a game to make money off of it. I upload it for people to play it.
That I know of, I am not making any money off of it.
Besides, I just looked up the info on pong, and it was released in 1971. That is more than 30 years. And in any case, if this game was an actual threat for a law suit, then kongregate would have blocked it already.
Please note that I am not getting angry at you, in fact, it's good that you do this so that people like me can see if their game is under copyright infringement, but I don't think that this game will matter considering the amount of people who have done the same, even here on Kongregate. Just look up Pong, and you'll see.
Well, Pong is a rather old game, and therefore its copyright has most likely worn out. Not to mention that nobody cares since I'm not making money off of it.
I didn't mean to infringe on someone else's work, I was just learning the programming language and wanted to post my games here.
1/5 for making a game in which I can have the best possible gear and be overleveled and still get killed before I get a chance to take a second turn against regular enemies.
mh... Try using love potions or speed ring, I also would recommend you to check the book of chaos for tips about your party, also there is the option of lowering the dificulty, hope you give the game a second chance :)
...All devs on Kongregate get paid for their games, kid. That's the point of Kongregate. If you uploaded your game to Kongregate, then you are indeed intending on making money off of it, because that's what happens here. And yes, all those other ones are also infringing, but I'm not policing the entire site, man, I'm just looking at the newest uploads.
Dude, Pong is a trademarked term. You don't own Pong, you can't call your video game Pong, and you certainly can't make money through Kongregate with it.
Okay, first of all, I'm an amatuer developer and I'm 13. I'm not planning to make money off of ANY of my games at the moment. Also, if that's the case, then explain to me why searching "Pong" brings up like 20 games all supposedly Copyright Infringing?
Hello, thank you for playing and commenting, feedback is very important to us, since we´re new developers. We´ll try to make the next games more responsive and make sure the hit detection is satisfactory.
