Let's say someone talks in chat but didn't act in any bills and didn't make any bills.
BOOM, How to click them?
Also when you know the name of the person and can't seem to find it in the bills section because that person doesnt have bills of their own.
Why would you care about a player that does nothing, though? Aside from that, I may add links to people's names in the posts. Problem is that it breaks from the trend of linking uncolored names. So I'll have to think of some way around that.
Permadeath in games where you have to progress boring quests is unnacceptable, but in this game everything is free, and permadeath makes you take more care of your character. If there was no permadeath this game wouldn't be much cool at all.
There should also be more extrasfor some of the "negative" traits. For instance Atheist could boost Rational Debate strength, or something. I feel my character is so empty while other people are buying colts and using Military Service Experience on bills and i'm here proclaiming economic benefits. It's like my character being Atheist has no effect other than a medium Charisma drop. Even if it's some kind of weird negative/neutral/small positive effect i feel it and some other negative traits need something.
Q, i think some events, mostly assassinations, should have more impact. Like for instance, When the president or a high-tier Congressman is assassinated, a police investigation is launched and there's a chance the assassination is discovered, and that chance increases with time and is run at the nightly reset. The only way to clear it out is to do a Intricate Scandal Coverup. Also we should be able to investigate without a target in some circunstances, even if that means lower chances. For instance: Victim: Geofrey Jenkins Crime: Assassination Target: Empty(It tries to find out who conducted it, and if successful, tries to find evidence to generate a scandal). Else people could just lurk and assassinate people, like i was planning to do. I think this gets kinda unrealistic and overpowered...
I agree that it's a bit easy to get away with highly scandalous stuff at the moment, especially with how coverups work. I've got a few ideas on how to address this, though the police launching an independent investigation is a pretty good idea. I'll probably work that in to what I'm doing.
Frankly I've felt that we should have "freed" North Korea IRL a while ago. The people in that country are being forced to live an insanely backwards and terrible life.
I find it very odd that when i occasionally smoked cigars(1 or 2 a day) i got addicted to nicotine, but now that i'm taking more than 10 units of cocaine a day, i don't get addicted to it. Seems legit? Same goes to Heroin and Liquor...
r2d2go, great idea! Games like this are the ones that need the kongregate built-in forum, not the other MMORPGs where you dont need to ask or suggest anything complex.
Also, Don't "kill" me anymore, Q. I have new plans :P
And last but not least, quoting Old Crow, who was trying to make a joke but it turns out to be a great idea: "Q should get advertising space on Rationalwiki and Conservapedia to boost the Socialist and Conservative party sizes. xD"
Advertising this game on politics-related sites is one of the best ideas!
I think if people ask Kongregate to add a forum for a multiplayer game that they do. Many games that are pretty small have one. Also, I've found it's less effective to advertise to political non-gamers than it is to advertise to gamers who are non-political. The gamers don't really care about the political theme as the gameplay is semi-familiar enough, whereas the political folks often just can't figure out how to do anything because they aren't used to video games... and this one doesn't exactly have a shallow learning curve.
Uuuuh Q, also, there is a way to abuse the crony system. The maximum for cronies is 5 so you can't add everyone and get the bonus for everyone, right? But what if every time you're going to help one of your associate's bills you demote a crony and put the associate in his place, and then repeat for all others?
I know about the protection level, but people are saying you added a feature who makes it so high after some failed attempts that it is literally impossible to assassinate someone. If this is true and people can still launch assassinations while it is under effect, the effect will keep growing and render that person forever invincible if the assassinations keep coming!
Also, when the protection is in place for people that are frequently hit by assassinations, dont let people launch more assassinations against that target. Something like "Dave, that target is guarded flawlessly. There is no way we could get an assassin in there. Sorry."
Because else people are going to keep trying and some people will end up having infinite protection because of the ever-growing effective time.
I think exact numbers and graphs for those statistics would make the game too easy... Perhaps an estimate with its accuracy based on how much funding a research to produce those estimates gets?
Why would you care about a player that does nothing, though? Aside from that, I may add links to people's names in the posts. Problem is that it breaks from the trend of linking uncolored names. So I'll have to think of some way around that.
