New suggestion: Crime rate percentage. Could make population leave the country, there would be bills to fund police operations and such to decrease it. Another suggestion is Situational Constitutional Support Altering, which basically hurts some of your CS when you play abilities on bills that are not good for the country at the present time. I mean, why would your constituents approve of tightening immigration restrictions if the populational growth is negative? However i don't think it should surpass the base gain from supporting bills that your party is in favor though.
I have considered implementing a system that changes constituents' feelings on issues based on the nation... but then I remembered that people don't actually do that. We already have the lowest taxes out of the entire developed world (by a good margin), yet our right always pushes for more tax cuts. And no matter how high the deficit goes, people will still demand more social programs and bizarre subsidies that seem borne of crony capitalism. Essentially, I ended up feeling that the partisan hackery was actually more realistic than an informed populace with moderated views based on changing world events and factual occurences. As for the crime rate... that's sort of worked in to bills with population growth and public health... but it's hard for me to say too much without revealing specific bill stats.
I like the idea of cryptic messages. Some of the other games i played are all introducing this kind of cryptic/riddle puzzles to get infomation or unlock more things. The idea of depending on other players is also great. If i get one of those messages i'll get crackin' ASAP :D
If still no success after many tries, phone your ISP to change your IP number for you. This only works if you have a dynamic IP though. If you do not have a router, but only the modem, some modems may or may not have configuration menus, probably not. To find out if they do, google information about the modem(model etc) to see if it has a menu and what is its IP and standard password for admin. They probably don't, though. Then either input: "ipconfig /release" on console and connect/disconnect the modem cable from your computer, if it doesnt change your IP just shut the modem down for 5 mins or so and try again. In the worst case scenario, again, just phone your ISP and ask for them to change your IP.
It seems these issues people were having were sorted out. There was a combination of two things going on: some people were getting IP banned by a security setting in the server's firewall for using certain chat characters, and other people were failing to connect entirely due to major network outages in the US.
This one is for the players: If you use a router just go to it's menu > status(probably) and click something like DHCP Release. your modem may or may not assign you a new IP address. If not, repeat. If still no success, shut down modem and wait about 5 minutes, then repeat until IP changed.
I honestly never experienced something like that and it could originate from your host possibly blocking connections from certain IPS for a reason. When i changed my IP yesterday everything was solved.
I can't really identify what hops are my ISP's or not on my tracert because my ISP uses some really outdated domains from companies they bought in the past together with some domains where letters are probably random.
I commented the four hours thing right before you answered that comment. Or before i got the page updated. I ran a tracert and you're right, it stops somewhere. Im going to try some stuff.
Again: the game is up, running fine, and hundreds of people have been playing over the time period you have described. You are experiencing a network communications error that has nothing to do with my game or anything I can affect.
Alright so you're either changing something or the host f*cked with you again. Firstly the chat for party was returning a 404 error when you try to send something while global chat worked fine. Then right after the chat came back to place, everything seems to have went down and the game is returning a time-out for over 2 hours right now.
um.... I have experienced none of this and have been modifying/testing the game over that entire time period. This won't produce the errors you're talking about, though. Open up a console and do a tracert to cabincalendar.info. You will most likely find that there is a major network problem between you and the game server. I cannot do anything about this.
I found a bug. If you quit and save, then come back and continue, instead of continuing from the level you left off, it continues one chamber before the level you were in.
but not rockstars. THEMS THE DEVILS WORK
