i beat all the maps! 16hours and 18 minutes. Never used special units (except to get the achievement.) Final map is easy. Don't use poison units at all. focus on the entrance ways and copy what you do for both sides. Later on, copy what you did for the bottom sections as well. Mostly use fire units; use ice and energy units for the other portion. So, 2/3 fire and the other 1/3 evenly between ice and energy! NO POISON!!!

use virus.. get level one of all resistances. get level 4 medical. get rats. only have fever. wait wait wait. if you dont get madagascar, then just try again. after all countries infected, then buy all the symptoms! (forget the rest of transmission and resistances) you will win in less than 100 days!
edwardhowe method is stupid. my method works without messing with fake walls, and you get it done in less than 5 minutes! (plus you get to shoot lots of rockets)
SUPER FAST EASY BADGE: simply choose nightmare, turn off all three options (devils, collisions, friendly fire) choose BIG BOXY level, clean out all the barrels, get a rocket launcher, stand in middle, fire up,up,down,down, you will be on level 40 in just a few minutes, then you will be on 42 in a few moments more! its so easy!!!
so, you see, you can double your PPI everyday by first buying everything you reasonably can, let it run overnight, log in and spend your money, ascend, and buy everything you can, then let it run over night! You will keep doubling your PPI while your clicking. By the time you buy everything you reasonably can, then PPI should double. When you log in the next day, your PPI will be X10. then you buy everything you can and buy the time your done, it will be X2. let it run overnight, and bam, its X10. so this is a way to spend about an hour a day on this game and still double then X10 your PPI for reasonable progress! In fact, the developer should only allow you to ascend once a day! (twice a day for speed junkies)
For me, it was fun to do a little bit at a time.
My first round i went to 100000 PPI then ascended. (took a week, lol)
Then after ascending, I clicked and bought everything i could (by then PPI was doubled to 220000) then i let it run overnight. Then i bought everything i could and I had about 11 million PPI. then i ascended again and clicked and bought everything. By then PPI doubled to 22 million.
I let it run overnight and by then it was at 110 million! today i log in and click until i buy everything i could, (by then PPI was 220 million)
You know what would really suck? If like after 100 years pass, some of your ships start to rust and break down, and your ship numbers start to decrease as time passes, and then you have to keep buying more ships just to replace the ones that keep falling apart due to time!
