"Ok guys, nuclear armageddon is right around the corner, what ideas do we have to defend our cities?"
"I built a self-reloading anti-ballistic missile system."
"I build a multi-city distributed shield power generator.
"I built a flak gun, but it shoots randomly and takes all the energy the city can produce to run it for just a few seconds."
Hey, good news, I found a guy willing to give us 5 or 6 bucks for several million cubic feet of radioactive vapor, but only if we're the ones who cause the explosion. And the best part? He'll get it himself, we don't have to go anywhere!
Could we maybe find some bandaids or a first aid kit or someone with some common sense so we don't lose a survivor every time there's a paper cut just because we don't have access to a full hospital?
How exactly is 1 star an 'ultra rare item'? This guy gets stars free in his breakfast cereal. If he has to get through a dozen fights to get one of the big chests a single star is not an appropriate reward.
What exactly is the point of the last level? If it's to show that the AI doesnt actually have to follow any rules and can win whenever it wants to then you nailed it.
Ok, definitely a few problems. First, your allies occasionally get a hit or two before they die. I think you'll get what you're going for if you just have them stand still and cry. Second, There are too few enemies on the screen at once. Sometimes when I'm trying to fight after my allies have all died I get a second or two out of stun lock where I can do some damage. Third, not enough missile throwers. After all, my guy is so effective at dealing with them with his nearly 1/4 inch range.
So, how come the game becomes all about luck rather than skill, and hoping that your towers actually target the right enemy, and your missiles only circle the enemies 8 or 9 times before they hit, and fear actually makes them run back rather than forward, right around level 16 or so? Really irritating.
Hmm, I already give them more balls randomly, change the ball they're shooting randomly, make sure that the ball never lands properly, sometimes it just goes through what it hits and sometimes it doesn't, hmmm, what else can I add to make the game even shittier... I know, I'll just randomly take 'lives' and then punish them for it! Perfect!
How did this game get a badge?
Apparently, the only people who survived the zombie apocalypse are 10 year little girls. These are the whiniest pansies I've ever seen in any video game anywhere. We get a hospital, nothing. We barricade a whole mall, nothing. A bunch of new people show up, nothing. A dog died? Holy crap, lets riot! We're not doing any more work until you get us 5 or 6 new churches or bars. Seriously, the fact that Harder is so stupidly unfair shouldn't matter, these pathetic losers deserve to die.
The higher difficulty levels are entirely based on luck. It doesn't matter how many defenders you have, your base gets overrun all the time. Random events constantly kill people, destroy food, and lower morale, and theres nothing you can do about it. They're not worth playing.
Once you're fully upgraded, and it doesn't take long given how many times you have to play a map before you get a lucky break, there's no reason to miss civilians anymore. Useless RPs stack up quickly after that. Horn is pretty useless, doesn't seem to affect anything. Fully upgraded windshield can take either 800 shots or a light bump from a shopping cart, you never know. Going faster doesn't seem to affect how long a map takes to complete. Killing copters isn't 'difficult' it's 'retarded', it's a matter of whether you get lucky or not.
The random maps have way too much influence over the game. It doesn't matter how much you've upgraded or how good you are, one or two bad spots and you lose. Game is mainly luck.
Gosh it shure is fun fighting the same bosses over and over and over just so he can kill you instantly right after you show up. You could save time by just killing the guy the instant he appears on the board.
The absurd targeting system alone ruins this game. All towers suddenly not firing at ghosts is the icing on the cake. This was broken in the first one, nothing was fixed, it just had a few new colors of paint slapped on before being kicked out the door. Weak.
