Upgrading clouds relies on three clicks - which slows down game-play. Upgrading the clouds in the first one worked much better. Otherwise it is very good and worthy of 5 stars.
More levels, more clouds, special ability, better AI, better graphics, better soundtrack, better controls, more sound effects, better ending, voice acting.
What more do you want?
I've enjoyed this genre for several decades now. One thing this genre NEEDS is that moments of elation when the player is the biggest thing on the map - Why end this so soon?
Needs a bit of polish. Skip button for the opening scene. More instructions and more pirate boats. There may be other things as well but these three to begin with. I like the arrow control concept, but again - instructions.
My first thought when I tried it was "Not worth while." As I realized what was going on my opinion changed - I love the way the towers can be destroyed, it happens naturally. Nice use of objects to control tracks too. It does need a bit of polish (upgrades, easier first level etc) but shows a lot of potential to be one of the best in the genre.
I hated the game at first sight. But it is really addictive - particularly noticing new things in the game each play. Had to add it to my favs, yet I still hate it.
How did you manage this one?
Seems like a very twee version of Burrito Bison - although the graphics are awesome (lifted my mood after a long hard day) the game-play itself seems unpolished. Pleanty of other comments have given pointers but the win/fail stamp is probably the most annoying - I hope you polish it holds alot of potential :)
It's a fun little game - the screen is a bit dark for my tastes (is it just me or do a lot of game developers love putting dark objects on a dark background?) and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of tactics (click a random tile and see what comes up), overall 4/5.
Still needs a little polish - others have made most of the suggestions already: Place own units, select which unit to move, switch between move/attack etc. But very close to a brilliant game :)
Being able to change coins for gifts is a good thing - but perhaps it could be a two way thing? like instead of 1 coin for five gifts have 5 gifts for 1 coin and 5 coins for one gift?
We have just uploaded a new version, with upgrade menu on mouseover. Should be less clicking involved now!
