Are you sure that's a fart you're hearing and not a quack from the same damnable "Duck Hunt" banner ad I'm seeing at the top of the page? I mean, I'm all about Kongregate collecting ad revenue from whoever they can. I love this site and am all for them getting money without charging us. But all these ads should be SILENT.
Fun game. I'd kind of like a bigger map, which would help with more precise placement, but the smaller map may be a little more forgiving in some ways. The more precision that's allowed, the more you ignorance shines through when you don't know. The only complaint I have not already mentioned is the scoring requirement. It's a little vague -- I have to reach 400 on level 1, but what metric is used? Is it coming within X km total? I also think the required score should be given before starting the level. The timer's counting down, so you have to hurry if you want to see the requirement. Just tell us before we start.
I've increased my rating from 4 to 5 just because of the sheer awesomeness of the ending. I'd definitely say this one's badge-worthy, perhaps 15 pts for finishing it. Good stuff!
3/5
Novel concept, but difficulty ramps up suddenly. I agree you need some way to sell/destroy blocks. Refine a little and it could get 4 or possibly 5.
There are multiple non-games on this site. I don't have a problem with that; I'll just rate them a 1 unless they have a purpose.
The problem here is that when the creators tell you to put this game on your site, they mean to put this game on YOUR SITE. As in your blog. You personal web page. I don't think Kongregate is what they had in mind. They'd post it here themselves if they wanted.
Fun little game! It's been a while since I've played a "bounce things to safety" game, and this one was a fairly original take on things. My only complaint is about the characters' appearances, most notably the guy you control. The resemblance to a monkey might be offensive to some.
Isn't Newton's First Law of Motion the one about inertia? When the nail pops the bubble, wouldn't the guy be impaled on it?
The controls ARE a little irritating, but they're consistent in my experience so far. They just take some getting used to. 4/5
I agree with everything Focus said, including the 2/5 rating. It's not a bad concept, but when you compare it to Bowmaster Prelude (as everyone inevitably will) its flaws are glaring.
I'm not trying to be hypercritical. I know it's your first game -- and a far better one than I could ever think of doing myself -- but if I'm being honest that's why you got a 2 instead of a 1...Games like this make me think the rating system should go to 10, or that there should be a separate category for fledgling developers. No one creates a "Bowmaster" on their first try, so it's somewhat unfair that there's no way to avoid such a comparison.
