Is there a REAL difference between curse and silence other than the fact you have different resistances to each one and need a different item/skill to heal it? They both block you from using any magic. Can anybody tell me?
NOoooooooo my computer crashed! I lost about 26 hours total of all 3 chapters.... I finally completed chapter 2 again in about 5 1/2 hours ... On to chapter 3!
To those wondering what weapons go to what character (weapons you can find in this chapter): Sword = Mardek & Verhn, Greatsword = Deugan, Rod = Emela, Double-blade = Zach, Staff = Gloria (next chapter). To get Zach, go into the Canonia Inn BEFORE you finish the catacombs, and you must pay 1000 generic gold coins to get him. Hope this helped a little. I saw people asking who could use a certain weapon, so...
To everybody who can't seem to find the hidden chests and hidden walkways... I guess we must be your "cooler friends". So please, Come to Bob's Mappe Shoppe! *hint, hint*
Just a tip to everybody: When you complete a dungeon, go back to the person who gave you that quest, and also go back to the dungeon itself (especially in the room with the boss; chances are there's a chest or a secret chest or a secret behind where the boss once stood). After defeating the shaman, the skull behind where she was contains GeoJacket, behind the first battle with Moric, you can find Social Fox's tomb, a Trilobite key, and the Zombie Dragon. After defeating Muricance, you can go down the tunnels the other people took to get sweet prizes, and also go down a path (where Muriance fled after you defeat him) that leads to items like Bandit Armor. Basically, go to a dungeon after you complete it.
This game (and every other one in the series) is hilarious (hilarious besides everything else in this game that makes it simply amazing). From messing with cliches to oaths (such as "He thinks he's YALORT's Gift to Women!" and referring to EVERY ONE of the innumerable deities in this game "Gods, you deserve to be in prison!"), this game deserves 5/5 just for epic laughs that I got while playing. It also deserves 5/5 for storyline and the perfect amount of twists and unexpected turns, 5/5 for the character developments, 5/5 for the music and sounds, and 5/5 for anything I managed to miss! Love it!
In Chapter 3, it says I can jump in to the river in the gem mines (in this chapter from what I have found, it just tells you "this is where Muriance got away") but does anybody know if I can jump in the water in the gem mines in this chapter? I know there will probably other characters with aqualung in chapters 4 and beyond, but...
@madscientist13 The reason is because Deugan's Spiritblade attack is an ETHER TYPE attack, and the Specters are an ETHER TYPE creature. Generally speaking (there are some cases where this won't apply, you just have to test it for yourself and check the bestiary), if you use an attack on a creature of the same element (i.e. a fire attack on a fire type enemy), the enemy will USUALLY absorb damage and heal instead of take damage. Some enemies take damage of the same type, though, so just check your bestiary (in the encyclopedia) to find out each monster's resistances (if it is over 100%, they absorb damage (i.e. if it is at 110%, they absorb 10% of your attack and take no damage, etc)). I hope this clears that up. It is not a glitch.
To anybody wondering where the catacombs are: Go to the sewers (north end of Gonzor), and after you get the key from Gallovar (The Yalortian priest in the temple in the center of Gonzor) and the door is in the sewers -- the sewers are small; just find them yourself ;P.
I just experienced a major glitch -- I was fighting the Fire Crystal Guardian and when his health got below 6,000, everybody in the party took 0 damage from the fire he cast. Even the guy who absorbed fire didn't heal, just took 0. Weird.
@slytht yeah definitely an epilogue, and it was epic when I read them and was like, "Holy crap! Really?" About your other comment -- we won't see Emela and Deugan in this chapter (There are only 11 unlockable characters -- Mardek, Donovan, Sharla, Sslen'ck, Gloria, Elewyn, Mereador, Verhn, Zach, Legion, and the wolf (I can't remember his name). Emela and Deugan will almost definitely be back in later chapters, I can probably guarantee that.
@end_of_ends Yeah I figured it out. I got dreamstone #15 right after I made that comment, and that kind of gave it away. It was pretty obvious, because you could tell. I mean who else would have a ! when they saw Mardek, and who else looked like that?
@tarboosh From what you're saying you: 1) Hate RPG's, 2) Didn't play the first two chapters so have no idea what's going on, or 3) Are just a grouchy person. I'm guessing it's one of those three.
@slytht I think that 2 is after Moric's ship falls and Deugan is dying in the water. 3 is Emela after she goes to her "happy place" basically, the underwater temple. Also, DS 4 is Emela finding Deugan underwater and reviving him. If you played the previous chapters, you should know who is who based on what they say. Also, the game kind of gives it away if you have a good idea of who the characters are; The reason is the text glows the color of their element. If you have a good feeling it's Emela, and the text is glowing blue, then it probably is Emela, etc. However, I think that it would be best to let each person find the DS's for themselves and figure out who they are, based on the thoughts and words.
I can't stop thinking that Steele survived Emela's bolt in chapter 2 and the guy stealing the dark gem was him. He even had the same skills, just more power... I'm sure of it, almost.
@thunderkat2 You know, the Randomghost is there from 8:00 PM-4:00AM every day. It really isn't necessary to wait until 10:53, you could just click on the area a little above and a little to the right (the mouse will change into a "grabbing" hand) of the Secret Area; The mouse will change if you mouse there, but unless you click between 8:00 and 4:00 every night, you won't get anything.
