Just to bump this to the front page again (contains detailed maps as well as crafting info!):

Massive thanks to ThePixelHunt (Dev.) for seeing my earlier comment, and getting it fixed in an amazingly short period of time, and also for the quick response to the comments - that's always a +1 on the rating for me!
Thanks also to Kong/Nikhil, for passing on the message - that was fast!
(Note: Just played as far as Easy badge, with no problems - with Firefox, so hopefully no-one else will have FF issues now!)
*Game hangs at loading screen:* Had the same problem as several of you, with the game going to 'Loading' just after the Bounty Hunter dialogue, and just staying on that screen.
I'm using Windows 8.1, with both FF and Flash fully updated. I did notice however, (in the 'Best Comments' section - 16th May), that the Dev. commented that an attempted bug-fix upgrade had broken the entire game. It seems to hang whenever the Loading screen opens (regardless of point in game). Hopefully this'll spare a few of you from playing half of the game only for it to die on you! (I've also messaged an Admin to make sure they're aware.) Please +1 on this or another warning, to save people time until it's fixed!
Frustrating that the problems with this game haven't changed. All of the issues - such as difficulty curve, needing locking pieces (after you said you would "implement this feature in a sequel" (Ref: Dev. reply, Best comments, 1st game)) etc. - were pointed out during the 2 previous games. I'm not so sure what the point of having these player comments is - if the Dev. pays no attention to them...
As many people have said, this game is far more luck than skill, & it's frustrating that this seems to be okay with Berzerk. Certainly not worth the cost of a new mouse, or touch-pad. To follow your example: 1/5 & good luck with the game!
To those who have commented that they have finished all 60 waves, but are missing some Trophies (& 2nd Hard badge): if you have played the game far enough to kill the final Boss (getting the 1st Hard badge), the game then gives you the option to restart, but with a save file that contains all of your Trophies. Save your game, then go to 'Load game' from the Start menu, and choose that file (it's marked 'completed'); you can then re-start at any wave (Weapons and Upgrades are also saved), to get the Trophies needed. I hope this helps some of you!
Tips: For unlocking Hipsters, close Amenities, make sure all rooms are set to 'Restrict', and set the 'Priority Room' (in Reception) to a type you don't have, for all customers (no need to sell/destroy anything, or lose points!) - you need 12, zero ratings (live customers!).
For 'Serial Killer', destroy 12 rooms while they're occupied (pause when 'room service' icon showing, if needed).
For the +99 rating, get all perfect ratings (set percentages to 0, except for ones you can make the rooms perfect for (eg. I kept Critic, Blogger, Socialite, Jetsetter, & Celeb); chose a level with their fav. Amenities, for their room, and fill the room with their fav. items).
'Accessible' gives you the final 'celebrity customer', for a rating of 85+.
*Please + so more people can see how to get these.*
Two days ago I finally finished 'Pandemic 2', & had been feeling really good about it. Then I start this game, and try to get the 'Medium' badge... :(
Why do I have the feeling I'm back where I started? lol
Currently on 28/29 Achievements, & am fairly sure that the Dev. wasn't planning on people trying to play this with a laptop touch-pad!
Am -really- glad that Thursday's BotD is on the Easy badge!
Tip: For some of the Achievements (eg. 'Mother Goose'), you'll need to remove some of the Upgrades. Happy gaming!
*Kongregate:* Please change the badge from a Medium, to a Hard (or have a Medium Badge for all Upgrades, & the Hard for the Achievements).
Many thanks to all those who gave tips both here, and in the Forums. Reading some of those through made me realise that the game wasn't as random as I had thought, and helped me understand the mechanics much better. After an extremely long time trying, I've finally got the badge!
The mistakes I had been making personally were: not noticing at which population level different countries would start reacting, if I hadn't sold my symptoms; having the Infection rate too fast towards the start of the game; and I had been trying to infect too many people before any deaths started.
All dead by Day 86. Score 171698 'The Madagascan Death'!
Best of luck to anyone else trying to get the badge!
I started to make these notes when all Countries were infected, and thought others might find them useful!
Start: Cuba - Virus, Durable, & Catching (wouldn't normally use any Transmission). Using Sneezing & Coughing, then 1-1-1-0. Remove Coughing when a mainland region affected; remove Sneezing when a country on each Land-mass is infected. Wait.. All Countries infected by day 29. Increase to 1-1-1-4 (*must* get 4). Get Coughing & Sneezing back, open Tiers 2 & 3. Remove any unwanted Symptoms on Tier 2/3. Get Diarrhoea, Vomiting, Pulmonary Oedema (Edema), Hypersensitivity & Fever. (This should actually be enough according to Infection and Death rate...) Wait, & save points for Kidney Failure. All infected by: Day 67. Save points to add Kidney failure (Day 72), then Fatigue - should have waited for Ataxia (not Fatigue)? All dead: Day 102 - not again... ARGH!
Once everyone in a country has been infected, why do the 'Government Affairs' still happen? (I'd think that when over 95% of the World has died - and the others are in the process of doing so - that 'Curfews are enforced' etc, would no longer be a priority/posssibility!).
Also, that is some *really* impressive Border Control going on! Even when almost everyone on the planet has died, even an animal isn't getting through! (Why - for example - can't I use 'Transmissions' to infect Countries with closed Borders?)
Still love the game, although I'm still being driven mad by the PMA badge! (I've killed the world several times over. My nearest attempts were 101 days (more than once...), and 1 person surviving on day 100 - ARGH!
@mofunzone: What 'Leader board'? There is nothing included in the API to show 'Best run-time' etc, I'm not seeing anything in-game, and trying to submit a score just opens a new tab for 'mofungames', where I couldn't see a Leader board (or find one in your Search), either!!??
I have -nothing- against Dev's including Game Ad's, and asking me to open a link to support a game. However, I -do- have a problem with Dev's including Links that take me me to a third-party site, which is not what it promises to be. Please let me know if I'm missing something here!
I was pleasantly surprised when I played this game: the 'Cave runner' type games are usually not my thing (I'm terrible at them!); yet, (playing this for the BotD), I continued to complete both badges, and actually found it easier and more enjoyable than I expected!
Gratz on a enjoyable game, with a great layout and graphics, & (for me personally), without any Accessibility problems!
@Arkuni: How about expanding the API so that best speed/time etc. are also shown, as well as completion of achievements? Also, I'd like to see the Skills gained in 'Story mode', being carried over to 'Basic mode'. @Kongregate: How about adding an additional, Hard? badge for (eg.) completing all achievements?
*FLASHING WARNING:* Warning to anyone with Epilepsy/Migraine. As you get higher & faster, the background can start to appear like strobe lighting.
This was worse for me on the darker Backgrounds, and was very bad for the Hard badge.
@Everyone: Please +1 so others are warned in advance (posted before it's BotD).
@Kongregate: If games don't need to have a flashing warning at the start, please add the Tag 'Flashing Warning', instead.
Finally got round to playing this, as I was put off in the past by the problem with the Save file. A great game, and a real shame that they appear to have given up on it. 4/5 (-1 for the Save issue), but certainly a favourite.
It did award all of the badges without any problem - and I didn't have any problems with having to re-start (the auto-save works at least, so just keep the game open) - so thanks to Kongregate for working out some of the glitches!.
It seems a real shame that the Dev hasn't followed up on the problems mentioned in the comments. This starts out as a very promising game - with good graphics/layout - but then continues in such a way it feels like someone just gave up mid Beta-testing. It would be great to see this game as the final product it could be, rather than left with a (disappointingly) 3/5 game that has the potential to be so much more.
The bug is now corrected ! This was due to an update of the game engine, now it works fine
