I have a long held belief that any game that calls itself epic, awesome, or basically is all self complimenting tends to suck.
Thanks to wartune, i realized that this belief is continuing to be correct.
You can use the double value powerup multiple times on the same fish. if you wait for it to recharge. Double the value from the 1 point upgrades, double the value via powerup. wait a bit, double the doubling...so on, so forth. basically. easy win.
First try in 8 days...at 3 AM....wasnt really trying...its an okay game, but it invokes to much boss slayer. it feels less like its own game and more a boss slayer clone with a bug theme. and the final final boss was to much reactance 2 for my liking.
For those among you who are curious, the effects of optics on the minimap seems to go like this:
Level 0: Basic minimap. as i recall it can see artifact containers on it.
Level 1: Adds in all minerals as white dots.
Level 2: Likely adds in the ability for different sized dots for bigger mineral deposits
Level 3: Slight color coding for mineral deposits. it color codes it based on class, crystal, or metal.
Level 4: Full color coding. each seperate mineral type has its own color. To my knowledge, its like an always on radar pulse.
Level 5: Unknown. dosent seem to add to the minimap.
Additionally, around level 4, i noticed that the strange eggs and strange rocks started appearing on the minimap. not sure if that was from an earlier level, or if it was from level 4.
The hyperion isnt that bad imo. i beat him on my first time fighting him. i used four bullet weapons, equipped each with 1 homing upgrade and one acid (i would change the acid to something else, i just didnt have anything else to use.), all fully upgraded. for my ship i had a rank 3 speed model and two maxed out shield mods (though i think that you only get the benefit from one. i dont notice much difference in the damage reduction with 1 instead of 2), and a leech bomb. with all my stuff fully upgraded, i just dodge what i could, and used a leech when i needed more health. it was challenging and a pretty long fight (over the course of it, i took 1007 damage) but i beat him eventually. the only attack i couldnt easily avoid was the one where after his armor is gone, he unleashes a giant blast of lasers while sitting at the top of the screen.
Typing games are a dime a dozen, generally have the same gameplay and nothing really interesting at the core...except for this one. this is the first game i have played that challenges you to type incorrectly, which is a rather interesting twist.
Yeah, cartoon network just ripped this game off...they just replaced the characters and special attacks, but its the same gameplay, same monsters, same maps.
The_suspect, that also happens when you die...basically, if you bought a skill before, and start a new round without refreshing the game, you lose the effect AND the ability to buy it...all that stays is the weapon you have equipped at the time. another one that might be a glitch, is that when you buy the health bar upgrades, it extends your health bar in addition to the health boost...but your current health gauge dosent extend with the new bar size...
sometimes released games get buried into the middle of lots of crappy games and lost. The same game i uploaded to newgrounds has 20000 views already (same time.) If you want to help me, PLEASE rate this game and get your friends to rate this game. Once it passes judgement it will visible in the search, and more people will see it. Thanks!
Yeah, evidently there is new glitchs in the game...for the first boss, he didnt even show up and i auto won the level, for the defend the gold mine mission, not ONE thief balloon showed up...somethings wrong there.
Eh...its pretty much just a generic physics game with a porcupine character...graphics arent anything exciting, gameplay is the same as dozens of other games like this, and overall its just not fun...you cant pull back the launcher enough for most shots so your porcupine always drops sooner then expected, and its not very challenging...overall, its generic, boring, and nothing to remember.
Great concept, okay exection...but it was just a bit to easy for my liking, as you can pretty much nearly always use slow motion and dash every time your near danger, the only parts i found challenging were the ones with the giant blades, since they can move faster then you. i was a bit disappointed the focus activated traps werent used more, as they could have easily cranked up the difficulty, the only points they were placed were where it was easy to not use focus anyway. Regardless, its a pretty solid game, though it felt short, and im not going to subtract any points for difficulty since that can vary from player to player (my "to easy" could be someone elses infernally hard), 4/5, good game.
Same thing, over, and over, and over, and over, and over...i got bored around 3740, as it never got harder, it never got more interesting, and it was to easy...
Yknow, i would love to give this game a good score, but i pretty much cant, yknow why? because its a blatant ripoff of corporations inc, same gameplay, same building style...yeesh, the only new thing about it is the hotel theme.
The concept of multiple controllable characters is not even relatively new for platform games, its been used for many years now, plus the puzzles lack any real growth...it starts to become pretty repetitive after a few levels...Its just not a very fun game...
Well, it's like the $100 questions in the TV-show :) The further you get, the less obvious the questions are.
