seems slightly better than when I played this the first time. Slightly. As in, more or less playable, without having to beat my head against the wall. Still a LOT of stuff thats just bleah.
physics are weak, blocks can 'stick' on others at the wrong time, one single mistake is often fatal. background is a big pain. Worse, the blocks seem to like to go out of the tower for no reason at all.
fun game- a little too fast for me. Key placement is awkward- t and r are very close, while s is sorta off by itself. An option for pausing to aim when thrusting would be great. Going back to the level select after dying is un-needed and annoying. A little more pinball feel and a little less random would be great
I dislike the dimension switching- Decent idea on paper, but triples the difficulty on some levels. A case of design messing with gameplay and fun. Difficulty jumps from about a 4 to a nine around level 10-11. Just... not all that fun
missing a hundred little touches t hat elevates a game from functional if barely playable to fun. Stuff like forcing a unit to advance, stay in place, or fire is good, as is field of fire icons, and HP icons. Unit AI is often atrocious, like the jeep (Which is REALLY slow) building like bunkers dont seem to add much
Repetitive, unoriginal, uninteresting, unchallenging, and utterly worthless. About all that could be said in defense of the game is that everything works. Except, you know, the pause and mute buttons. But hey, nobody ever needs THOSE, right?
Controls seem pretty loose and slippery in a bad way. Loading/instructions a bit long. More achievements would be neat. Decent, fun flashbacks due to graphics, but gameplay a bit of a letdown. EMPs a little too thick; Dont have a submit score button that says 'sorry, you play on wrong site! FAIL!'
Urgh, hate these games. A hundred dull levels does not equal one fun one. Cotrols are clunky and not very friendly (Why have bomb need a key, instead of socketing on a tower? I socket maybe 25 times and bomb 150) Even little details like an in game counter for gems made/mixed and bomb would make it seem like you did more than the bare, crummy minimum of effort. (then copy/pasted it into a hundred dull levels) The armor games only content is also annoying. Total fail for any fun factor.
A lot of the levels are set up so if you are INCREDIBLY precise (Survival!!) you can fit three towers in a line.... very annoying. Either better design or a grid of where you can place towers would have been much better.
