Here is my current strategy: When you are starting out, use improve when you can to get ahead as much as you can. After a few resets, stop using improve. The 1k bonuses are MUCH better. Only use improve once your level get's above 10k, since the large bonuses stop after 10k. This has been working for me the past few resets, tripling my meta each time. It is pretty grindy. I haven't run into a hard wall yet, but I reset a few times just to get the meta.
Honestly, the game is getting a little bit too easy. There are a few towns that have really good gold ratios that really just propel you straight to the end very quickly.
If progress isn't being saved, don't forget to try manually saving. It helps me.
BUG: offline bonus isn't working past a healing quest I setup. I'm may test more, but I'm noting it now.
Right now our offline progress is based off of the last gold chests you earned. So you need to earn at least ONE chest by completing a quest for it to count towards offline progress. So make sure you complete some quests before going offline!
I wish they fixed garbage trucks to work even when there was lot's of garbage. It is fun playing the game on sandbox mode with lot's of days, the trucks basically just run back and forth to large piles, but don't actually pick up garbage. So once enemies build up to a certain point, the game becomes unbeatable.
Thanks for the feedback. The problem is, that I can't execute a save command when the game closes. Closing the browser or tab is like you would kill a program in the task manager or pull the plug of you computer. When anyone knows a solution for this, that works in an iframe and isn't annoying for users, please give me a hint.
level 10 is tricky. I've beaten it several times, just by trying to move fast. I haven't worked out much of a strategy. One thing that might work consistently is to take out one middle enemies with 3 of your guys. Maybe that can give you a good start.
employee gain is broken. Each tick of gain new employee gives you a percentage bonus to employees, which is interesting. The problem is that it is based on new employees to be gained, and on reset this is set to like 1. But, the amount of spreadsheets needed to cause this tick to happen still continues to rise exponentially!
If you are going to do a percentage based increase in employees, it should be based on total employees earned, not just in the current reset.
Kongregate staff tells me this is now fixed. Chrome should now run the game correctly, no workarounds necessary. Swarm Simulator doesn't require Unity. Sorry about the downtime!
this game is unbalanced in some way. With the new patrol tokens, increased resources seems too good. I have put everything in that, and the game has been on autopilot since mk-2, and since I have the patience to wait for for the next levels
