A hint system is seriously needed. Not just clues, but visual hints as well. I'm just randomly guessing. I just hear notes going up and down with no idea exactly how that's supposed to conjure an image. I'm literally not seeing it. I got as far as level 5 as I typed the whole alphabet for level on and used all the skips for the next 3. Not fun.
I have to agree with goretus, the birds cancel out any advantage the upgrades give you. You need speed to go higher, but the speed prevents you from dodging the birds quickly. The same goes for the speed rings. Remove the birds or give upgrades that reduce their damage to speed significantly. 2/5
Yeah, you know those kreds you expect people to use to buy stuff. Most people just come here to play games, set up an account to track their favorite games, connect with people, but have never used kreds at all.
I tried to give the game a chance. But spending more than 60+ days going back and forth with the first ship between two ports since you get destroyed going to the third due to being outnumbered and losing money either retreating or losing isn't fun.
Weapons are confusing. I want to equip a shotgun and flamethrower, but it won't let me. It keeps going to the Baretta. Also, the shotgun apparently runs out for some reason and leaves me with the grenade launcher, which I didn't equip nor picked up.
It gets frustrating that you're outnumber right away and have to keep going back and forth trading to earn very little money. Also, get rid of the research aspect (you're a pirate not a shipbuilder) and leave it as simple upgrades.
Slow down the spinning wheel. I'm usually good at getting max or near it on other launch games, but I keep getting low launch speeds because it's too fast. Makes it less fun.
With shield, homing and 4-shot you can go through some stages, eve advanced ones, in a few seconds. The only difficulty are the bosses, which can be too annoying in difficulty although you'll win, such as stage 5.
I played a bit more. First, repairs should be a lot cheaper. Hmm. we're in a forest. How about wood instead of stone? The number of enemies needs to be reduced by a lot given the difficult of shooting them. The number would be justified if I was part of a group of archers, but it's too many for a single. Also, change the angle from a side to a frontal view. Is it really smart to attack a enemy from the side when it gives you a smaller target. There's a huge difference from hitting what would be a foot wide target, which is more likely, than the very small one in this game.
Interesting game and good graphics, but very difficult. I'm lucky to get 10% accuracy. There needs to be a way to make it easier. Maybe get rid of the the balance between precision and aim until the later stages. Also, since archers were used en masse, maybe adding this to the game could help.
