My only major complaint is when you get to stages with a ton of throwing stars. There's just dozens coming at you from all sides, you get hit, and it's followed by 30 more and you just bounce from 1 start to the next loosing all your BP and lots of LP not being able to move or do anything. It's pretty cheap.
God I hate those f*cking axes...bad. And of course they're EVERYWHERE. The controls are very slippery. Lots of parts just seem to involve blind luck over strategy. Overall it's a frustrating experience that you just want to end.
So there's this guy who drives an ice cream truck..kids chase after him, pretty normal situation. But then this guy, he snaps. The screaming kids have sent him over the edge. He's done. One day he builds a modified spud gun to shoot ice cream. Then he goes on his route and when kids starts chasing his truck for their creamy treats, he unloads ice cream at them at 1000 psi. After just 2 days, 3 kids had broken femurs and shattered jawbones, 6 need their eye reconstructed. Moral of the story, ice cream has a dark side.
Man..I spent a very long time playing the first Glean the summer before last so, pretty cool there's a sequel. It does take a lot of grinding but you have to look at it as a long journey/endurance badge.
Mute would be a nice option to at least have. The beats are a great addition, but you don't have to have the sound on to beat a level and you don't always want it on.
It'd be really nice if you had a lifebar. Even like a 3 hit system. I hate 1 hit deaths, and it's incredibly easy to get hit by something you don't see or can't avoid because your movement is too slow.
A very good, if not short game. It can be hard to dodge a lot of enemy fire because you also have to focus on aiming your shots. But you get more than enough health upgrades to make up for it. My tip: Buy an extra heart whenever you can. The horse upgrade seemed useless to me.
