the funniest thing about this game is that the only strike I have was from a complete random guess, whereas every time I get a city that I know well: Miami, Orlando, New Orleans etc, I end up being 14 km off...
Ah well, only needed 1.
Hmm... its kind of lame how in the 3 hit challenge, the damage score is lowered whenever you get hit. That means that you do a minimum of three more damage than the score shows, which frustrates me as my high score in it is 29 (I had thirty and then got killed).
Its rather funny how this was the game that brought me to this site, and I still only have the easy badge from it. I really hope I at least get the medium before july... oh, and the new layout is actually quite usefull, as you can see the achievement goals without having to scroll down, and you dont have to watch people spam and troll the chats
Good idea to spread fire awareness, though the door game was a bit evil... needed a wider area where you could hit the spacebar.
Also, I didn't really like the idea of a cat being an obsticle to your escape...
On a different note, wouldn't shutting all of the doors trap oxygen in the rooms and raise the risk of a backdraft or a flashover?
I really wish there was an impossible badge for acing all 100 levels, but I doubt they will include one, given the issues with saving progress, and the prevalence of walkthroughs.
Nice game overall, but the collision detection is a bit off...
Also, it would be nice to have a keyboard control as an option: I am stuck with the choice of using a hypersensitive mouse or my laptop keypad...
4/5
finally managed to beat challenge 6 with about one pixel width left in the time bar. Unfortunately, even though that was the last challenge I had not completed, I don't seem to be getting my award. :(
Oh well, that is probably just my connection's fault. 4/5 for the game.
At first, I was upset that the enemies could walk on the spikes, whereas it is an instant death for us... but then I realized you could use the gravity gun on the bombs in the last level... that made up for the spike issue.
However, I have beaten the game three times (In two different save file run throughs, just to be sure), yet the Vogon achievement is not appearing... 4/5.
Unfortunantly for this game, there is an easy, albeit boring and tedius, way to gain any amount of ammo, money and score. Simply dogde the second boss's attacks, and pick up the powerups he throws out constantly. I used that boss to get enough money to buy a fully upgraded chainsaw, which didnt take that long... Given that you get points for each box recovered, you can raise the score to abnormal levels without any more effort than moving the penguin around.
The rotational aspect of the game is a pain, but the game overall is not that bad. Took about an hour to finish it. 3.5/5, -1 for the control issues and -1 for the lack of originality, then +0.5 for the water bouyancy.
