Well, somehow it took me a week to get two allies last time, and now I beat the game in under a day. (I used the deletion of my file as an opportunity to ally myself with the Shadow Runners this time around).
Sweet! I got Star Get without beating the last two levels, lol.
No walkthroughs not provided by the game, either (got to love how the ones from the game only give a 3 star average).
The negative waves is if you get one of the crates that says that the number of germans advancing has been decreased (quite annoying for the hard badge)
On the plus side, should your game freeze it counts as though you lost the round, so it actually records your progress (mine froze at round 107)...
13 dead by level 50, but is that before or after the negative wave numbers from the crates?
I got both badges but no card. Since they all require there being no cheats, I should have the card by now. Ah well, I have the R1 version and the original.
To repeat what has been said, hard badge is pretty easy. Maybe a medium at best...
I actually didn't use artillery for anything but the dinosaurs. If you only spend money on buying the artillery, and upgrading the tack, fire and water, you end up with about 52000 by the 11th day, enough to buy a full repair. Of course, it looks as though you get extra points for killing things with bomb birds (the magnet guys drop two bags instead of one) so you might not make it to the goal if you are unlucky. If so, just spam artillery.
The only crazy thing the computer has done against me is use memory erase when I had no cards left (neither did it), and use memory serpent on a creature only to not have it attack, though that might just be a defensive procedure.
Hmm... I beat all the challenges in one try with a nice little white deck, save for the 100 hp one, which I beat on the first try with a more mixed deck.
Unfortuantly I cannot beat the 11th mission. I was never good at using black decks in MtG.
the trick to extreme random attack is to memorize all the possible answers. Then you have to get lucky and be able to type the answer in under three seconds (even on my best run, where I knew all of the answers as soon as I saw them, I only managed to get 7... it didn't help that I mispelled trapezoid)
I am pretty sure that the problem everyone is forgetting is the moment of inertia of the tower. Any imbalance between the center of mass of the tower and the center of the base of the tower will cause it to sway (at least, that appears to be the way this game is coded). The sway will cause the bricks to shift if they are not solidly connected to each other, which is why it would not be a good idea to make a column of squares touching a column of Ls. They would act as two seperate towers, even if touching, given that they are not truly connected.
TKitch, the physics does work: your tower became more unstable as the swaying introduced gaps between the peices, thus producing larger swaying. Feedback at its greatest.
I found that if you just focus on the top half of the screen and make the web as concentrated as possible, it isnt that hard to catch a bat, and if the bat breaks through (with the help of a queen bee and two fireflies, in my case) you still should have the corners intact to rebuild from. Poor red bat, never saw the net coming...
Really nice game, though there should be seperate achievements depending on which controls you use. Then again, I wouldnt have gotten erik happy with my gaming skills then, lol.
stuck on A30, lol. One bridge too far... or at least seperating me from 30 points...
Sooner or later I shall have to figure out if I should try for the grey or the green gates first.
