Okay, so advice for players: Don't leave the friggin' box behind. If there's a way to move it, take it with you. Advice for the dev: Make a longer game next time? This was actually a lot of fun, and I could see the thought that went into it. My only complaint is the length of the game, you did good work Wolod.

Developer response from Wolod

Thanks a lot! I know that it's a little bit short. I hate making levels tbh. It's the most boring part of work for me :D

@GretarH1 We call this "Forgetting The Objective." Your objective in the game isn't Prestige Multiplier Gretar, it's increasing the heat of the planet right? To that goal, you need level 100 Speed for all four Plushy..Slime..Blob..Things.

Actually, I agree with Vamps10, it's only an "ok" racing game. It has too many inconsistencies to make it a great racing game. You hit someone from behind? You lose speed and they pull ahead of you. If you get hit from behind? They just move to the side and still pass you anyway. And YOU are the only person who is required to brake going into curves, everyone else accelerates through with no problems. And what happened to drafting? It doesn't seem to exist in this game.

@WeisserWerWolf If you bug/glitch a level you don't reload the webpage, you reset the game using the IN-GAME reset button. Also, @vonRibbeck and @roguetrooper96 If you guys ran into bugs, take screenshots and use the Game Bug button to report the issue. Will it be fixed? Probably not on a game more than 6 years old now, but that's the best chance at getting the issue(s) resolved.

You people can downvote my comments all you want, it's not going to change the facts. You'll also notice I wasn't actually saying anything bad about the game, I was telling the dev about the things they need to fix. I'm sorry you people can't understand that this is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. But this entire world has gotten into this idiotic mindset of "Shun the nonbeliever!" This isn't a religion, it is a potentially career defining moment for the dev. I'm trying to help this person succeed, I WANT them to do well. The more people we have making original games the better off we, as gamers, are.

@charmanderdeus Since you're one of "those" people, maybe you can explain it to me. I at no point got belligerent or unintelligible in my writings, so at what point was I not calm? Also, a simple question will tell me whether you're even qualified to make part of your statement. You even have kids? If not, I'm just going to say you have no place saying someone taking your child isn't the most unrealistic part of this. Besides all the studies done that exactly contradict that particular "idea" of this game. Also, being a law doesn't make it right. There're cities in the U.S. with laws stating women can't wear pants. By your logic, any woman wearing pants in those places deserves a fine.

Hey look! All the bleeding hearts got together and cried on the downvote button! Moving on..I'm just going to say, Beranek, that pointing at other things that are implausible and going "See? I'm not the only one!" doesn't help your cause. Besides, who said I enjoyed comic books? Maybe I prefer things a little more realistic? And to anyone saying "Fine! Don't play then!" Don't say it to me, you take that up with the people at Kongregate who do the Badges. There's a REASON I avoided this series, I could tell I wouldn't enjoy it. I was given no option this week with the badges though, so take it up with them not me. One last thing Beranek, coming off as condescending to your player-base is probably not the best approach to dealing with honest criticism. I could've been far more critical than I was, instead I tried to actually give you advice on how to improve things.

Casual gamers are going to be your most likely market on Steam, where you said yourself you intend to market this, if you think casual gamers are going to play and enjoy this you're sadly mistaken. There's a reason Dark Souls got the running gag about "casuls". And let's not forget all the bugs we're seeing mentioned in comments, though lucky for you these people are dedicating their time to finding them for you (Hint: You may want to publicly thank your player base on here for their help.)

So, some poor little snowflake's feelings must've been hurt by my last post, since it's deleted. I'll just recap quick my opinions about this game and the dev's intentions. It's poorly balanced, you need serious help with that and haven't actually fixed that since the first iteration of this game. You intend on selling this on Steam? Not going to go well for you, whether you want to hear that or not. This goes right back around to "not well-balanced" and adds "too little content." to the list also. If you're serious about wanting to market this, you have a lot of work you need to do.

Part #3: I understand, "artistic license" and all that, but this is beyond anything even resembling possibility. This is just painful. I honestly think skipping all the text and trying to figure out what to do myself would be a more enjoyable experience. This is like a horrible movie that people watch, then tell OTHER people to watch so they can see how much it bothers them. If you had someone with a more critical eye towards..I don't know..Common sense, read the story and adjust it I could see this being an epic series. As it stands? No. This is agony for anyone who isn't suffering from severe head trauma.

Developer response from Beranek

Thanks for your opinions. Frankly, to think that people tell ME that I take life too seriously! Reading your thoughts made me realize how much worse it can get. I won't even try to justify anything here. Just a hint: relax and have fun. Have you tried comic books? You'd probably find them even more implausible than this. I mean, flying superheroes and such, you don't see that in our world often :D

Part #2: "Are you alright brother? You're looking a little green." Exactly HOW many green people has this guy seen that this seems even semi-plausible to him? Just trying to wrap my mind around these insane, utterly ludicrous "plot lines" is giving me a migraine. The puzzles themselves are the ONLY sensible part of this game. And don't get me started on human nature, parents would never give their child up willingly. A society like this would NEVER come to exist. I don't know anyone that I believe would hand their child over to another person to raise and educate.

Part #1: "Oh hey, someone's left some food here! How fortunate, because I am hungry." *Slams head into desk. Repeatedly.* WHAT were you on when you wrote this? I'm sorry if this is mean, but I have never read something so ridiculous in my life. It's not a bad game, it's a fun little puzzler, but the plot is easily the worst aspect of this. I got the point where the guy dropped his son off and I just couldn't stomach it any further. Apparently he's not only blind (they couldn't have been more than 20 or 30 feet from him when they broke the bridge,) but he's apparently mentally challenged too.

More than a formula change tyr2002. I discovered that if you build Simple Houses/Tents/Caves then put a Well next to them they're nowhere near the income they're supposed to be at once fully upgraded. As it stands now, you're required to demolish and rebuild everything once you put Wells in.

anon11111 doesn't belong playing games if this is too difficult for him/her/it. LadyFishsticks doesn't know what they're talking about. This was done to let people know the Dev is still working on the series, and it's a cute little seasonal version of the game. I found it a nice, easy distraction for about 10 minutes. I'm wondering what you intend for the future?

Developer response from taccommandeur

Still thinking of a way to involve the community more. My current plan is to make a hat wizard game with a level editor so players can make their own levels and browse through other people's levels.

@Constantine212 Is that so? Perhaps you can tell me then why my Warrior's Short Sword was doing 4 [5] damage early game? Does it have a poison DoT I'm unaware of? No, it doesn't. You just don't know what you're talking about. Allow me to explain. The bracketed numbers are your ADJUSTED damage. Which includes modifiers from your spell-casting and magic type mastery (in MeltingEclipse's example, Toxic Mastery.) Melting, the 2 damage was the DoT from the poison. The only thing I don't like, is it doesn't give you an idea of what kind of defenses enemies have or what works better against certain enemy types.

And this? Hasn't changed one bit from your first iteration of this game. I'm not sure how you haven't picked up on this, or better yet, how your play testers haven't pointed it out. But then again, they probably were just testing to make sure things worked the way they should rather than the playability of the game itself.

You can see the Dev basically saying "If the game's hard, it's likely because you aren't playing it right." Listen here kiddo, unlike most gamers I've played AND beaten Fatal Labyrinth for the Genesis. I've also played and beaten Azure Dreams for the PSX and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon for the Wii. So you can bite me, I probably know more about Rogue-likes than you do. When your player base's win rate is less than one in twenty, your balance is broken. I can attest to this, because once you hit floor 9 there's a dramatic increase in difficulty. You go from decent exchanges between combatants to getting mauled.
