Solid four star game, much like Lordzorak I had trouble with a couple of the levels at first but I did figure it out. The graphics and the way they change between Dees is great. The puzzles for the concept were well done, except for one thing.
SPOILER ALERT!
I didn't like the fact that the monsters could be used to get the keys. It makes no sense, and was the only stumbling block I had in solving the puzzles.
Level 22 was just brilliant, but I imagine it was a real chore to set up. No matter where you start in the puzzle, if you follow the directions it always completes properly. It takes a certain type of mind to come up with things like this, I salute you sir.
@Setari You need to go to the Factory. It's the "Rogue-like" portion of the game. Randomly generated areas, you can leave and return and the enemies will respawn and the layout will be different.
I could say a lot here, but all I'll say is it's not really my kind of game. Before anyone starts bitching at me, it's the BotD for Wednesday so if you want to complain take it up with Kong not me.
Update: It seems to only allow the upgrade of three separate tiles. Since the Camp tile is a requirement, that leaves you with two other tiles. This is a crippling bug, Shark. Maybe it has something to do with your statement about being able to upgrade each tile at least three times?
Clearly ChaoticBrain is new to Idle games, clicking hundreds or thousands of times is normal. There are some popular Idle games that have achievements for clicking a million (or more,) times. My problem isn't the clicking, because once you do enough of it you get auto income which is more than sufficient for idling purposes. The problem is a bug where it stops letting you upgrade things. And not saving. Thought I'd try reloading the game, maybe that would fix the problem. Sure fixed it, but it kind of lost all my progress too. Shark, you've got a LOT of work to do on this. I will say though, if you get this working properly I can see this doing very well on here.
Something to consider nrbdch, money towards late game becomes essentially useless (especially when you complete all the tasks on a couple of the high-end minerals.) So, what then do we do with this money? Can't eat it (money salad does NOT sound appealing, thanks,) can't drink it. Sounds to me like you need a mini-game purchasable via money. Give us SOMETHING to do, late game is literally sitting around twiddling our thumbs. As I've told so many other Idle game devs, you can't have nothing. You need something to give us a reason to keep playing. Otherwise, we shut your game off, come back later, do a little and shut it off again. That's detrimental to not only your game's score but also it's appealing. As @etmoonshade said, no interactivity at all at this point.
The only complaint I have is the lack of a mute button. Other than that, it's a brilliant little game that I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm looking forward to your next game Tac.
I have no problem with the controls. The dialogue is sometimes funny, other times concerning (I can't help but think the guy in here is awfully calm for having a talking "boil" growing out of his head.) The music is..Okay. I guess. The graphics are pretty basic, neither good nor bad. It's an okay game, but it could've been better.
@SSJ_SON_GOKU My sentiments exactly. The puzzles weren't too difficult to complete, but I wouldn't even know where to begin with designing puzzles myself. It's a gem of a puzzler, some people complain because you can't fail and I just don't see the issue myself. If you fail, you're likely just going to try again. All Kek did was cut out the middle man and save everyone some time.
I had an improvement thought, probably not the first to mention it though. On the levels where you have the ones that move when clicked on, you should be able to move or highlight them by clicking on the empty squares. It can sometimes be difficult locating the corresponding square if there's a lot of them on the screen, or if they're covered by the red lines requiring more blocks removed to access them.
Zirenaz, this game is over a year old. There's no way the Dev is gonna touch it again, they made their pittance on a crap game filled with click-baits to their sponsors. So I'm just going to 1/5 this and move on with my life.
Not to nitpick Bart, but I thought I'd point something out. The eye patches have strings, those would cover up (tiny,) parts of the pumpkin when dipping it in the paint. Other than that one little flaw, it's a decent little puzzler to spend ten or fifteen minutes on. Well done as usual, but I'm honestly dying to see your next Cat game.
What the hell is going on here? As has been repeatedly pointed out, it's not in English. Secondly, you can keep clicking the correct answer over and over and it does absolutely nothing other than pile points up for you. To call this ridiculous might still be giving it too much credit. I'm curious why people have zero-bombed this out of existence yet. Unless...Is it going the way of Zero Wing? Is it so horrible people have opted to save it for posterity?
Let's see..No hints, no volume leveling (you either can't hear it or your ears are bleeding,) and very little effort put into this overall. I can't justify giving this more than a 2 out of 5 stars. Also, I can reproduce the mushroom glitch. It's like it copies it, like it's letting you move more than one at a time visually speaking. You wind up with mushrooms partially stacked on top of each other.
If this were considerably longer, had more story line, and were polished up to HD grade graphics? I could see this being sold for $4.99-$9.99 on the platform of your choosing. If not a little more, depending on the length. As it stands, you're at about 2 hours for nearly all achievements on a first playthrough for me. If this had 30+ hours of gameplay I could see this being a $14.99 game. If it had ALL that and was priced at $9.99? I think you'd do very well for yourselves.
I'm only going to point out one serious flaw, and I believe that if you stop and think about it for a minute you'd agree with me. Look in the Payouts section of the store, what do you see? You see a 1 day payout for 10 Holybars, right next to it? TEN days for 25. I could see 4 or 5, bars for one day, but 10? That's completely absurd, you've cut yourself right out of anyone being desperate enough to buy one of those. Any human being with a single iota of self control will go "Nope, I'll pay two and a half times the amount for ten times the benefit." Just something to think about guys.
Okay, When opening a Pro Chest I got 150 Diamonds but for some reason it displayed 200 in big numbers below the text. Also, I think the reason it starts to lag is because of a data leak. Seems to correlate with the floating numbers from clicking the IE statue. The more I click, the more it starts to lag after a while.
Thanks! The enemies interacting with keys is inspired by Braid, I think it's really cool!
