Secret Treasure 3 in the mine shaft level? I see a barrel rocket on that ledge over there, I assume I need to get that, but how? Really scratching my head on this one, any advice would be greatly appreciated. 5/5, btw, I love these Cactus McCoy games.
Hard badge seekers: Do not be discouraged by your low score! Keep playing! I was around 60,000 when I hit the level with lots of seekers and blades. That level boosted my score to over 150,000. A few levels later there is nothing but food, just collect the food and increase your multiplier (agility and cohesion help scoop up food without losing your tail). My mutli went to 20 and my score was over 600,000. With that multiplier on the following level my score was over 1,000,000 in no time! The scoring system is silly, yes, but just keep in mind that being at 40,000 does not mean you are THAT far from the hard badge. Just stay alive and keep playing, look for that all-food level!
I just loaded the game, as the runner took off down the course the game was jumping and bouncing more than usual. I hit the side rail, collected one orange note and the runner came to an abrupt stop. Game over, 500 points, it told me "Not Great." Lol.
@shteev - How can level 14 be confusing? Each blue block is paired with a red block ... Great game, very unique, would love to see more developed, tougher levels.
I don't have a tailor, so why does everyone coming through the door want leather goods? That's a dumb concept, having tons of customers who ask for items I clearly don't have, because I sell potions and weapons! But I buy a leather helmet from a trader, and I have a customer ask for leather shoes, and offers to pay 177. I suggest he buy the leather helmet (value: 215) and he accepts. But he only pays me 125. How did it decide he was paying 125? I didn't suggest he buy the helmet for half price! I don't even get a say in what he pays for it, or whether I want to sell it to him. I assumed I would be selling it for the value of the item, or his original offer, not an arbitrary sale price. Stupid game with stupid mechanics that wants me to pay for EVERYTHING (I'm on Day 112, fyi), or be handcuffed throughout my playing time. 1/5
Soooooo addicting. Great game, controls are very responsive and the jump seems perfectly distanced between the obstacles, not too easy not too difficult to manage. But adding the laser encourages you to HURRY. 5/5
@Kelgis, if you think the game is luck-based you're doing it wrong. I haven't encountered a section yet that was impossible to navigate. The better you get at timing your jumps the easier it is to stay in front of the laser.
I thought the stats would be cool to look at. But all I get is a broken win-loss record (it says I've won more games than I've played, and my win pct is 157%). But I can get more stats if I pay you money! Won't they be busted too? Hate games that charge you for simple stuff.
Hard badge was pretty simple for me, and I don't do well at these types of games (normally). 2 stars on 'Love the World' and 3 stars on 'Mode 7 Hype Mix.' Both songs are 6 max difficulty, which means they're easier to master. I did keyboard mode for both, using 2 hands. Since most of the notes are in the middle, I put my 3 fingers on my right hand on the 3 middle notes, and used thumb and forefinger of left hand for top and bottom. Make a mental note of which notes are coming before starting each trip across the screen, and you'll see that either the top or the bottom is used for each run, rarely both. This helped me always choose the right set of fingers, and the rhythm on these songs is pretty basic.
FYI - The bank gems feature doesn't actually bank your gems. It might as well be called 'pay me so you can skip two floors.' The only reason you should bank gems is to skip floors for the climbing trophies. If you die before exiting the tower, no money is saved, no trophies are saved, none of your floors or kills count towards your trophy totals. So what's the point of 'banking' gems?

Oh yes! Almost a year after I got the easy badge, I have finally conquered this devil game.
A lot of wusses complaining about the impossible badge, I found it to be one of the easier ones on Kong. Practice, practice, practice each level before you attempt a speedrun. Beat each level 5 or 6 times, get familiar with the order of the levels, then try your speedrun. You won't get it the first time, but don't quit as soon as you fall. Practice doing the levels quickly, then restart and fix your errors. Took me 2 hours tops to get all speedruns.
I played this game when the Pixel Pack Challenge came out. Got the easy and medium badges, and decided I could never get the impossible, so I wasn't going to waste my time on the hard. The birds were too difficult, the controls too exacting. For some reason I was drawn back to this game, and it took me about a week to power through all 1010 coins. Don't give up people, seeing that finished tower is very rewarding! 5/5 for creativity of the game play.
Man I'd like to be able to keep the bridges I make in challenge mode. I have an elaborate setup on either end of the bridge that is virtually the same for all the 30+ meter challenges, and I simply extend the middle portion by an extra meter. But I get tired of building the same bridge 10 times in a row.
Chapter 3 is possible in about 40 seconds. Fall off the cliff the first time, land on the ground then press spacebar to restart at the beginning. The second time run off the cliff, drop about 5 or 10 feet, then jump and hold left the whole fall. It lets you jump from what looks like midair after you leave the cliff, and you should drift far enough to land on the yellow rock right beside the finish. I've gotten it in 41 seconds.
