Game designer: "I'm going to add a feature to my game that makes everything random. This will add replayability, like replayability of level 9, because you'll be 99% done and then magically get detected on that last pixel, killing you and making you play it again. That's a great idea."
Game designer: "I'm going to place this red cone indicating a guard's detection range, but it will lie, and they will see you when you are behind them too. That's because this game is realistic, and the red flashlight is just a guideline."
Guard: "I'm walking this way, with my red flashlight UI pointing forward"
Guard: "Hey, I'm going to spin 360 for no reason, becoming an impenetrable fortres of red-lit death. Haha."
+1 for good concept, -1 for bad execution. Merely average, 2/5.
My first impressions were pretty much right. You live and die at the whim of the RNG. Sorry, you have 70 chickens, but we will only give you 5 eggs today. Your next three random events from searching the town are to lose chickens, money, and chickens again. We understand your income at this point is entirely based on chickens, and we really wanted to screw you over. Have a nice day.
Can't beat day 4. Huh. This game seems a little too RNG based. Given that I had small guns 4, rifles 4, it stands to figure that I would only see/get shotguns & big guns.
I can't figure this one out. I played through YOLO several times. I can't get anything but some wind noise, a wall, and an infinite supply of tumbleweeds. I'd like to assume there is more than this, and judging from the comments, there is. However, it's not worth my time to figure it out all for what is most likely 5 seconds of visual goodies. 2/5 for (most likely) being broken?
Feedback: Performs well under high settings on a 2 year old computer. Changed to medium and noticed no decrease even with lots of enemies and towers.
Difficulty is too easy for my taste, I've gotten through levels 1-4 with only normal towers, unupgraded, I feel like I should build the more expensive ones, but there is no need for ground troops. Air troops occasionally make it past, but if I toss in a few more towers they too fall.
This is is horrible, what the hell? The only thing it's good at is tricking me in to thinking it's going to eventually get better, but it's ridiculous. I played for 7 hours straight and never won a single card from that slot machine crap at the end. I couldn't even get to rank 150 for that newb quest, because I was winning as many as I was losing. After checking the wiki for good beginner builds, I then progressed to around 100 before capping out due to random luck. Why make a skill based card game have such a high luck factor? Nobody wants to grind for 7 hours to complete a quest ON A CARD GAME.
This is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down and I'd like to take a minute just sit right there; I'll tell you all about how I became the prince of Bel-Air.
