I have 1 qualm with this chat game: Why did you set the flag for having "game" chatrooms to be joined? It's an unnecessary hassle to use the menu to select "Go to room chat" every time.
Note: If you choose to only upgrade speed, you WILL die on level 4 or 5 or 6 or whatever it is when you fight hoppers. Not just lose, but you will be steamrolled. They grow faster than your ants, hit harder, and move just as fast. I attempted to make a bulwark, and even with my last colony surrounded by around 20 towers, it got overrun. Hell, man...
This was rather fun, I wish there had been some more emphasis on switching the elevators around. I had to purposefully try to create niche elevators, given that a 1 laser + 2 dd towers would handle everything. It was kinda fun making a 3 laser elevator, a 3 rocket elevator, a 3 pusher elevator and switching them around as needed, but entirely unnecessary. Perhaps, if a sequel is developed, there should be a requirement that your guy MUST be in an elevator for it to move, and add a stairwell at the left side so that you can actually traverse floors without using elevators. The whole point of this would be to make swapping elevators a core mechanic instead of a funny gimmick.
Holy crap man, how are you supposed to catch others guys to eat them and finish the match? It's virtually impossible to beat the computer in a match of agility...
This game kinda sorta sucks without being able to control your other towers effectively. Even using the keyboard, the previous aim of the other towers is NOT saved, making it nigh impossible to do a quick switch to an auxiliary tower to do anything. This leaves mouse control, where the same problem is present, you just are able to recover faster. Not well implemented, but great idea, reminds of me scorched earth, without the earth.
Not too happy about the overall gameplay. It's 'okay', but lacks polish. For all the additional stuff thrown in here, like the chat, high scores & whatnot, I'd expect a bit more refinement from the clunky gameplay. 3/5
