I'm not sure what the point of the Academic bonuses are. They halve the time of research, but they double the cost per second... which virtually guarantees that any research will be Slowed for the entire time, in a long game.
Is it one of those things that's only better to get in short games?
Fun game, but even the "Hard" setting isn't very hard, and a LOT of the stuff that could make for interesting game aspects end up not really mattering because they ultimately don't affect play that much.
Remove the cap on banks, and let us just keep making them bigger and bigger. It'd give us something to do with our gold once we hit the point where there's nothing left to spend it on.
Looks like I can attack other players (and counter-attack) without using bloonstones. Nice.
Although I shouldn't have to spend bloonstones to send special bloons either. (And I'm not going to)
There should be an option that hides your buildings, allowing you to just see the terrain underneath.
Trying to find a specific terrain once you've built on it is a PAIN.
Wow! That little "I" for Information icon is flashing!
I'd better check it out.
Yup. Same frickin' message that it's been telling me for a week now, that I have 36 honor.
THAT's not annoying at all. :|
Oh, and you know what's really great after I finally beat some pain-in-the-butt map that I never want to see again?
A little 1 to pop up that I can't get rid of unless I go to my Maps and at least look at that level again.
From what I can tell, the Monkey Vs. Monkey makes me spend Bloonstones (which are hard to get) in order for a chance to get gold (which is easy to get) and Honor (which doesn't seem to have much point).
Which doesn't seem worth it.
I liked the original game better, because it was simpler and clearer.
I played this a bit, but then kept dying in the desert and I'm not entirely sure why. Out of food? Out of water?
Dysentery….?
This one seems to be more work than fun.
And I stopped at the "thief of hearts" level, because I'm not going to waste my time playing off-screen, where I can't see what's going on, or what I'm supposed to do.
Good thing it's optional :) Oh, and you can always change what Mauve Manticore is like by submitting your own designs!
