Completely ignore troops after getting a few orbs. They are too costly and die too quickly, so focusing on heroes is much better. I just completed the first dimension after switching to a hero focus (I was getting to area 4-5 before hitting a wall before) And, not even stopping once, am steamrolling the 2nd dimension with just heroes alone. The demons don't even come close to killing my heroes (After I got all 4 of them) So op.
This setup is pretty much unbeatable, even if you don't play that great with it. (Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/rm5f2r) The only boss that gives you a hard time is 19 on Insane, otherwise everything else, even the Kraken, is child's play. It costs 1,267,800 to get everything (Including Bananas, which will be 17,800 cost per run) but you're pretty much unstoppable, except for 19.
It's funny how everyone is saying there are no AGI builds, when using the Bow with the Skeleton King is Overpowered as all hell. Kill some guys, spawn some skeletons and use them as aggro absorbers and meatshields. Spam points in Agi so you frequently Crit, basically oneshotting everything (2-3 shooting bosses) add about 10% stats into Vit and like, 2% into Int to keep the skeletons up to par. Get an item that gives SP on critical hits, and boom. Insta-killing everything and Spamming hordes of skeletons. It's literally unstoppable, I never die and I never have to use a potion. There's your AGI build.
Ghost Bow is extremely OP. Add on high crit rate and tons of points into Agility, and you can pretty much one shot anything (I even one shot a boss!) add on to that, every enemy I kill turns into a ghost that just absorbs aggro. I'm critting with over 150K damage per shot, on average! At level 21! So broken.
@jakara I forgot how I unlocked it, but the wiki says that you unlock the Dodo Body by "Beating" Learn to Fly 3. Either complete every game mode, or unlock every medal, which I've done both so I can't tell you for sure.
I wish that when you beat the game with the Dodo bird, that the cutscene is slightly different, showing the dodo bird just barely miss the moon and shooting off into space. That would've been glorious.
I'm surprised nobody has 4 factions at Ally status in Leaderboards, as it is entirely possible with the repeatable quests that increase reputation without decreasing another.
Would've liked to play the game, but the hanger just shows black when placing units, as well as when fighting. There are still sounds and progress in fights, but I can't see what's going on at all. 2/5 until this can be resolved somehow. (Proof: Hanger: https://prnt.sc/qvyb6i Fight: https://prnt.sc/qvybzo)
Finally got the game to start playing, but after 15 or so minutes it started to lag a bit. Shortly after the first boss it nearly froze my computer. Checked in task manager to find 2.9 GB of RAM being used. Intense memory leakage or what? Still 2/5, because it's out of one problem and into another.
I can walk around town and talk to everyone, but when I enter the dungeon the screen is just black. I tried starting a new game and trying again, and it's the same result. I can still hear myself walking around, dashing, jumping, shooting and even accessing and maneuvering the menu. But it's all black. I can see the slider for an area transition close, then open back up, but it's all black. My rating will be 2/5 until I can actually play, because this is a ridiculous bug.
Protip: 3rd page in the shop has books that increase your Skills, mostly the crafting ones. Around 400 or so skill level, it's more efficient to just buy books. That coupled with a good run in the Mystery dungeon, you can even max a skill from 0 to 1000 for around 20K-30K gold based on your bargaining skill and just spamming that skill book. Also it's a good idea to check the wiki for crafting recipes, if you're trying to play just by what recipes you find, be PREPARED for a long freakin' haul, friend.
Finally, ranked 1 for distance in Survival. Something worth mentioning; AVOID buying any gummy upgrade aside from cruisers. Cruisers have the ability to infinitely increase your speed based on how quickly you can click, something no other gummy has the potential for, so keep them out of the way. And if you can get the game to lag terribly, you can even input multiple clicks per frame. This is the first high score I've found that is actually EASIER with lag. Good luck to anyone who wants to beat it, you'll need it... And maybe an ice-pack too for the carpal tunnel. The only reason I was able to get this score was because I chanced upon a cruiser at around 110K, something I doubt I could do again any time soon.
Ads have been replaced with 3-9 minute japanese youtube videos that don't give you the reward half the time. Rating went down a star because of that. Not only are you forcing us to watch ads to get the pinata's we earned, but you also give us long ass ads that rarely reward us. For shame.
Ok, just ran into a massive glitch. Turns out, if you have absolutely max speed when hitting the final gate, while also lagging and losing frames, you can "glitch" through the final wall that's supposed to stop you. And because this is supposed to be a "Bounce your way to victory" area, you never lose speed. I'm still bouncing after about 7 minutes now. Talk about breaking the game. lol
Game is great, but the music... can you even call it music? Must be some sort of abstract freestyle music of some ancient tribe in the depths of the great Amazon jungle. 4/5 still.
After around wave 1,100 or so, when every block turns black, it's a good idea to switch Snipers for Cannonballs. If you can destroy them in one hit, have fun watching the blocks literally dissolve before your eyes. You can keep some snipers around for clean up, but it makes a world of difference to get some Cannonballs late game.
